How many is too many?

I am on a quest just like everyone here to find the perfect sex toy. Something that you'll never forget even in the middle of sex. But while on this search I have been running into some duds. You know the toys you hope would be the ones but there not. Or that one that its almost there but its not that 100% perfect one you are looking for. And sadly you keep running into this problem, and now you have all these toys that don't get the job done the way you want it to get done. So you've got a collection, and now your asking should I keep looking or do I have enough and how many is too many?

You can never have too many! lol

No, I think that as you are looking you will get a better idea of what works for you. I like this shape, but not this texture. I like this material, but hate this size. Eventually you should be able to kind of figure out if you are going to like something before you buy it. And yes, there are always exceptions to every rule. I started out with inexpensive toys and experimented with different shapes and sizes. Now I am going back and getting better quality toys in materials, shapes ans sizes that I have enjoyed in the past.

Also, remember that there are tons of people on here to help you with anything. If you read a review and have questions, you can easily contact the contributor that wrote that review. Or you can ask on the forum. We are here to help each other.

Interesting question. For me...there is never enough because I try to find an interesting way to use even the lowest of the duds. BUT, I would just change your strategy. Next time, try something you think is "out of your league". Maybe you don't know your body the way you think you do.

They who dies with the most toy's wins!

Like LaUr3n, I try to find new and/or different ways to use them. Seems that most toy's have some sort of learning curve to them.

I agree about the learning curve. I have some toys that at first thought they were duds. I tried to make them work but couldnt. Finally a few months later I'm using them more then ever.

I don't think that you can have too many especially if all the ones you have aren't doing it for you. Whats the point of settling for that. I have a few vibes that are my trusties and if they die then I have some back ups. But I try not to be greedy and get a lot of the same kind of toy but its hard bcs there are so many great toys.

Everything is trial and error, even in the world of sex toys. Not one toy will be the most perfect thing ever, since it may work for one but not another. I, too, went through a number of toys before finding ones that worked very well for me. I just learned from what i bought. Vibes wanted at the end of the toy, not the middle, little to no texture, body safe, girthy, etc etc. Took a while but I got there. (Just wish i knew beforehand so I didn't use so much money, but that's why i waited for the good sales, so I'm not out too much. Ones that didn't work and that could be sanitized i gave to friends, so not a total loss to me.)

And no, you can never have too many toys.

For me, yes there can be too many which is why I've sold/swapped some of my toys. They just take up so much space and once I've reached a certain number even good toys get neglected, so I let someone else have them or dispose of the ones that can't be sterilized. Having said that, I still keep getting toys so it's a never ending cycle. lol

I find reading the reviews on Eden really helpful. One toy may be a dud for one person and a winner for an other. If reviews are well written and the author explains why he or she liked the toy, it could help you find the right ones.

In my opinion its ultimately for you to decide

Interestingly - some toys are a dud one day and winner the next!

I agree that reviews are very important in my selection process - especially from those that experience has shown have tastes similar to our own. For us reviews by middle-aged couples are the most useful - women who understand vaginal, blended and combined orgasms.

I do read the reviews, but not every women likes the same thing. Or they see either its texture or size or shape in there own different way. So I just do the best I can and hope for the best, that's all you can hope for in the world of sex toys.

I don't believe there's such a thing as too many, however my girlfriend was saying last night (largely because trying to store them is getting more finicky) we have very close to too many sex toys, I don't believe it's possible.

I limit my purchases and try to do serious research for a WHILE before buying anything. So far it's worked out well. everything but 1 I've bought has been excellent!
And there's no such thing as too much. If you have a lot that you like, you can have a display case in your bedroom that closes so no one sees it, but opens up all nice when you are in GOOD company
