So as I've become more experienced with toys I find that I am willing to pay more for them, good ones anyway
And it got me wondering how much people typically spend on a toy

This was really hard to pick just one. So I did an average. 60-80. Most of the toys that I buy these days are closer to 100+, but I always add cheaper toys in with most of my orders to finish a giftcard or something along those lines as well.

It's really hard to say. I have everything from over $20 toys to over $150. It just depends on the toy itself and how much I want it.

Definitely very dependent but depending on the toy I've spent anywhere from around $20 to up to about $100. 40-80 is a pretty reasonable average for most of the things I find myself looking at.

I checked $40-$60 - that's typical but I have many toys that were much more expensive. I probably have a dozen that cost from $75 to $200. The good news is those more expensive toys last a long time and we use them frequently. So the toys I buy now are mostly to mix things up a little and there are many moderately priced options for that. I never hesitate to pay for quality - and EF reviews are crucial to my buying decisions.

For an average toy, I'd say between $40 and $60. But if it's a high-quality item, especially if I've wanted it really badly, I'll definitely spend more.

And I agree with @Gunsmoke. The reviews a toy receives are absolutely critical to my purchasing decision.

I always try to spend less then 30 on toys unless I find a really good deal on something I really want.

Agree with those above me. Reviews really influence my decisions. I may splurge on an item every once in a blue moon, but I'm generally pretty cheap.

Usually my toys are about 40-60, but it varies. I consider very carefully the reviews of a higher priced item as well before buying.

Mine are generally all over the place. It seems that $40-$60 is the most common price range in my toybox, though.

Mine are all over too. It really depends on if you mean "sex toy" specifically or if you'd include things like my harnesses or sex toy storage. Sex toys themselves - I'll usually spend a relatively small amount $60-80 since I find it hard to justify much more expensive than that if it just vibrates like the rest. However, unique ones like the We-Vibe I'd shell more out for. I'm really tempted to shell out the $150 for the Lelo Ina. It's been on my mind.

However, I purchase non-sex toy specific items more often, and I'll spend quite a bit more on those like my sex furniture and stuff.

I would say I average between $40-60, but I've spent a lot less and a lot more. I don't have an unlimited toy budget, though, so I don't buy more extravagant toys more than once or twice a year.

I'd have to agree with this. My typical toy costs kind of average themselves out. I get some really expensive things, and then some really cheap things. It's hard to determine what I typically spend.

I try to make sure my orders are shipping free so I'll go for sales and then add a few more inexpensive toys to round it out. Also depends on whether I really like the toy.

I voted $20-$40 because that is what I could be comfortable spending on a toy. Well, there was the exception with the $60 one... anyway, I've always had a hard time justifying spending money on sex toys.

Its hard to say, Ive got toys near 200 and also toys that are just ten bucks. It depends what it is.

There was a while when I didnt have to many bills and very little living expences so I had the moeny to spend, now ime a little more conservitive. I also have alot of toys and they do good so I dont buy many anymore.

The most I NORMALLY spend is $20-40. If it's something that does something a lower cost toy can't though then I can make exceptions but it has to be justified.

my most expensive toy is my jimmyjane form 2 at $135... but honestly i would pay twice that for it as it is so so good to me

i like luxury toys... so i'd say that my average price point is $70-100...

I'm embarrassed to admit how much I'm willing to spend on a good quality sex toy. The name I chose as a reviewer was inspired by my rather unfortunate "champagne taste" in sex toys. I am very, very picky -- and to get the quality I demand and expect, I *usually* have to spend more. But I have been pleasantly surprised and amazed by the quality of some the lower-priced items I have tried, such as Tantus silicone products, SSA Glass, and Don Wands glass. My demands for quality are more than adequately met by these lower-priced products (which makes me very, very happy!).

My numbers have steadily creeped up, as I collect toys in each bracket and then lust for its bigger brother/sister. The sky is the limit with any hobby, and a taste for the luxurious begins to add up!
