I answered 10+ years because I actually only had the heart to throw it out last week (it's almost like I still own it). I bought it when I was 21 at Spencer Gifts. It was just a super plain-Jane rheostat vibrator. Not waterproof, which I learned early on when it stopped functioning due to water getting in it. At that point, I was for some reason too embarrassed to put it in my trash, and so I used it as a (crappy, but better than nothing) dildo. Seriously, it was the only sex toy I ever owned before about a year and a half ago. I'm SO glad I've expanded my sex toy horizons!
By the way, I'm 35 now, so that vibrator was 14 years old.... Creepy, my former roommate's son just turned that old too. Total coincidence, I assure you. Just needed to (over)share.

Woops... Should have read more closely.... my oldest working toy is about a year old. I bought a couple crappy, not so good toys when I got my sex drive back after switching antidepressants because the toys didn't cost much. They also didn't last so long. Mental note: you get what you pay for.
