I don't know. I did go to Spencer's when I was a teen. A "real" sex shop. I can't remember.
I got catalogs from Adam & Eve ordered from bridal magazines when My Man and I were thinking of getting married. They got delivered to my mom's house, as I had started looking at bridal things when I still lived with her and she'd hand them to me with a "I hope this was an accident." comment.

We never ordered anything from there at that time. It was a novelty to put in the bathroom and giggle about.

Well, when I saw sixteen I needed fishnets for some reason. I can't even remember, I think I wanted to wear them to homecoming or something. The sex shop near to me was very, very, very lax and my first visit was at about 14. As long as you had money they didn't really care how old you were. They also had video booths in the back but they were a little bit more stringent about IDing for that. Thank gosh. Buying a vibe at 14 is one thing (in my humble opinion) but hooking up with some 30 year old in the back of a porn shop is another :/
