I think if 15/16 year olds were allowed to buy toys, there would be a lot less teenage pregnancy and risky sex and STDs.

I was 19, celebrating my graduation from high school by... buying a vibrator. Makes sense to me!

I don't really think there's a definitive age that's "too young." I can't see anything wrong with a safe alternative being available to teens who are becoming interested in sex. After all, a sex toy can't get you pregnant (or get pregnant, in the case of strokers), won't give you a disease so long as you're not sharing it, and won't pressure you if you're not in the mood.

I was using makeshift ones at 14... I didn't buy one til I was 18 though. I would be all for sex toys being available for people of all ages, and if I had kids in their teens I would let them know that I would buy them safe toys any time if they wanted them.

Does it make sense to say sex toys are a replacement for sex, though? Because I was both using sex toys *and* having sex. I would say that making sex toys legal for teens would probably just mean the rates of kids getting anal splinters from using kitchen implements instead of sex toys would drop.

So, safer sex toys instead of more risky ones with less information offered.
