How/where do you store your toys?

Contributor: GatorDood GatorDood
I was just wondering how/where people store their toys? I thought long and hard about what to do with ours before I came up with a solution that fits for us; a plastic tool box.

It can be locked, is discreet, lint/dust free, has a lift out top tray for smaller items, a large bottom chamber, and is resistant to most common plastics/solvents so nothing should 'melt'.

So....where do you keep your toys?

We came to the same conclusion. The one we have actually has some additional small bins that are perfect for small items such as bullets.

Honestly mine are all over my apartment in different places: Closet, dresser drawers, bins, under the bed... you get the picture lol. I also have a separate cardboard box for ones that I don't use as often.

Our headboard has two compartments that we use along with a underdresser, there we use the center section that has doors. Someday very soon I will have to find a new area, the others are getting quite full.

That's a really good idea to use a tool box My boyfriend found an metal locking case (my guess is it's an old make up case), and it has trays for smaller stuff too. My collection is too big for just that, so I just keep my favorite stuff that I use in that, and the other stuff right now is either in cardboard box in my closet or in a drawer.

I thought of a makeup case but couldn't find one when I was out looking. I kind of stumbled upon the toolbox by accident; I had been thinking.....a fishing tackle box!

As it is, the toolbox I bought is light purple and pink and some of the proceeds supposedly go to the Komen foundation.

Served TWO good causes I guess!

I store my larger toys in a rubber toter. My smaller bullets and things, I store in a decorative tin that originally came with chocolate in it.

I have a tall nightstand that has a door on the front and a ton of storage. It is nearly full of toys and sex paraphernalia.

Aside from our favorites, the rest of mine are in a really huge laundry hamper box. I want to "display" them more, but I just don't have the room at this point. Hopefully when I get more space I can though!

I have a toy box and the drawer of my bedside table. I'm still figuring out where they'll go in the dorm, I think I'll be getting a Hide Your Vibe Pillow for my favorite toys (it's a bunked bed, so it'll be awkward to go down and get them in the middle of the night). Then the rest are probably going into my spiffy locking cabinet with my lockbox, though a lot of the nice boxes will probably stay home.

I have a floor to ceiling built in wardrobe that spans the length of my bedroom wall and I use the shelved section of that to hold my toys. I have most of them in their original boxes or packaging and those that aren't or didn't come in any I have bags for or the stand not touch until I have the right storage for them. I also have some stiff fabric boxes for all my floggers and gags, Batteries and bullets etc.

I keep mine in a military style footlocker. It's locking, doesn't seem out of place at the foot of my bed, and hold a ton of stuff!

Plain canvas bag that came with some hair stuff. I've long outgrown it, it's literally bursting at the seams! I need to find something new, and soon.

My toys used to live in a drawer but I needed the space so they currently have a canvas bag that sits on the floor near my desk. Someday I hope to have a big wonderful toy chest for them but for the moment the bag will do, I guess.

At the beginning of this year my toy collection out grew my large dresser draw and a large make-up case, so I had to invest in a nice glass display cabinet.
It's a lot fully now and not far off being full.
I need another larger one.

I have a nice locking box that is metal and has all my toys in it. It also has a carrying strap that we got at Harbor Freight. Wonderful hard case that we love.

A box in the closet. It's not hiding them or anything just no room in this small apartment. I really want a storage chest though.

We keep ours in two places. First, I drilled out a small hole in the bottom drawer of my wife's bedside table, and ran a power strip through it so that all of her plug in and rechargeable toys are always ready, and are always stored to keep them out of sight and away from dust, etc.

For most of our non-powered stuff, we keep it in a separate toy box called the Tonti Illuminated box.
