I like some porn in the background sometimes to help "up" the mood but regular TV... I suppose it can be distracting but we're usually too busy getting busy to notice.

ditto. with 4 girls in the house all under the age of 8, we are used to blocking out the noise.

The TV HAS to be off, because I'm very easily distracted. And I guess it doesn't help that my husband usually has some sort of comedy show on.

This is precisely why we don't have a TV in our bedroom.

We turn that off because we both distract very easy. Kind of a boner-killer when our sweet nothings consist of "HEY." and "PAY ATTENTION, MAN/WOMAN."

I'm totally a hater when it comes to television. I would definitely not be okay with it being on during sex, especially coz my man has ADD, haha.

A comedy show. LOL! Laughing while going down. Cute.

Although, yesterday morning we were both into a new (for us) DVD Anal Princess Diaries We kept it on while we got it on and it was not really distracting. We had the sound down. We usually put the sound down, because we have kids. *sigh* I never know what they are saying on the video. My Man says "It doesn't matter. Does it?" I guess not. The video has kind of a plot, but we were fast forwarding through the plot stuff until we got into bed (we usually watch porn in the chair, starting, petting, some oral, playing until it "time" to go to bed and go on) and then we let it play.

I was proud of myself that I didn't let it distract me (and I do like the video, so it seemed to help, if I peeked during it) and he did spend enough time paying attention to what he was doing.

It worked out well for us yesterday morning. It was one of those near perfect sex sessions. I love that.

we turn it off, there have been though few random times when a god awful commercial has come on and totally destroyed the mood. I don't even like to have music playing anymore, after a bad moment during the song T.N.T.

My boyfriend has roommates, and I tend to get very loud. So we always have the TV or music on. It isn't always distracting, but if it's something I really wanted to watch and having sex was spur of the moment, I catch myself focusing on the television. Luckily my man never notices.

I leave ours on once in a while or if we just happen to find ourselves in bed it'll get left on. It doesn't effect me one way or the other the Hubby is totally distracted by it. He makes of habit of making sure it's off now.

Not for me. The plus side of that is that you can turn the TV volume up to distract from other possible noises.

It depends on how loud the TV is and what is on.

Not for me, no. But occasionally my man will want it turned off (especially when we're cuddling and chatting after sex), he likes to hear me, not the TV.

We're really bad and normally have the TV on as a habit to cover noises, especially when my sister is home since we've been able to have conversations through both doors with her across the hall. We always make sure it's something we're not going to pay attention to and can zone out easily, and the Weather Channel seems to fit that bill nicely.

Depends on what's on the TV, lol--but usually.

Awkward silence is more disturbing. Sometimes we need music, or a movie in the background to be able to relax better.

Unless it's a spur of the moment, rip his clothing off and surprise him moment, I refuse to do anything sexual with the television on. I find it slightly insulting.
