Mine never did...I wish they had. It was just implied in a round about way that "girls don't do that".

My Mother kinda talked to me about my period, but never about sex. My Daddy never said a word until I was a teenager and then he was very open and honest with me. He and I ended up having a great relationship, but masturbation, nevah!

Ha! I was raised by a very strict Catholic mother. The closest she ever got to talking about masturbation was telling me that good girls never touched themselves 'down there' unless they absolutely had to, and it was wrong and dirty.

I got a sex talk but nothing about masturbation wasn't mentioned.

I found a book in my room about my period - they didn't even give it to me! They waited for me to find it! I learned about sex from the internet and close friends, so I'm lucky to have an openminded view because of that. Would be nice if I could actually talk about that with my family, though.

No, thank God. I didn't have the sense of humor about it to be able to appreciate the sort of jokes my mother probably would have made at my expense.

My mom mentioned that she had a vibrator and that she used it and I could get one too. All she told me was that I could buy a small massager and use it there. She never mentioned it again after that. So I spent a little while trying to figure out how to buy the right kind of massager from a store since I knew they didn't sell real vibrators in a place like a bed bath and beyond.

My mom and I have always been very open. So, the conversation embarrassed me as a kid, but I am so glad we had it.

My mom has a very odd view of the world and how men and sex correlate. She probably didn't discuss it, or sex with me, cause I spent years fantasizing over men in anime.

She did catch me kissing the t.v. with Tuxedo Mask on there and she went back upstairs. LOL

My parents have never mentioned it, to this day...and I'm 25. I don't see it happening.

I voted no and yes. My mother told me "Girls don't touch their private parts, unless they are in the tub. Then wash and get your fingers away from that."

WTF?

My parents never sat me down and talked about it specifically, but nothing sexual was ever taught as dirty or taboo in my house, so when it came up casually on tv and things like that, it was treated as what it is - something everyone does. I was never told my genitals were dirty or anything like that, just that they were private and only to be shared with people I loved.

Nope. We never talked about it at all. The impression I got was that we just shouldn't talk about it. I didn't think it was a bad thing to actually do, but I didn't feel like asking about it. I just learned from friends/the internet. It worked out ok.

It wasn't really talked about until after they found out I was having sex. Then when I moved away to college my mother bought me a rabbit vibe.

Although my Mom talked about sex with me, in a very open minded way, I never got the masturbation talk. Funny that I never really thought about that til now.

My mom was always very open with my sister and I about everything. I think it runs in the family because I can remember my grandmother telling me that if I ever needed to talk about sex she was there for me! Haha. My mom never bought me any toys since I said I didn't want one at the time but she did get my sister one. It was nice to have someone to talk to if we needed it but sometimes she could be a bit too open in social situations

Nope, no talk about anything...ever. Sad really but honestly I wouldn't want to talk about any of it with my 'mother'.
