Do you let your pets (dog/cat/other) sleep in bed with you?

I love the dog whisperer too. It's a great show. I used to get dragged by this lab mix whenever going on a walk. Seeing a squirrel or another dog was almost scary because the dog would drag me around in the street. I tried the techniques and they really worked. Walking her was easy after that.

I also wanted to add that animals have a very good judge of character. They can sense things. My cat used to throw up on my ex fiance's pillow. He would become furious and though she did it on purpose. Of course I defended her at the time that it was an accident. Looking back I think she was trying to tell me something.

Yeah, he was an old dog. But such a perfect, amazing one. He reminded me of my family's first dog who lived until she was 17 and a half years old. She was just as perfect as Daddy.

But doesn't he have a new pitbull that he adopted as a puppy and started using Daddy to train him before he passed?

If my partner doesn't like my dog sleeping in the bed with us, I show them to the couch or door. The dog has been there longer, and therefore has seniority, and gets first dibs.

At my parents' house, the pets are allowed to sleep on the bed. They got a king size when our old dog and the then-puppy started sleeping on the bed together. Now one dog and at least one cat always sleep on the bed. I personally don't have any pets at the moment, but when I get some, I won't have a problem with them sleeping on the bed.

The dogs are kenneled up at night but the cats will sleep with us, usually right between my legs. I got fed up with all 4 animals sleeping in between my legs! I couldnt move, period, at night. . But in the mornings the dogs will lie with us for a little while before we are up and moving.

Yup, that's Junior and he's the new ambassador now.

Does your Yorkie like to watch Caesar's show? My Poodle loves it, he'll sit right in front of the t.v. when the show begins.

I would but I can't sleep with the door open and I don't want to wake up in the middle of the night and have to let the cat out to pee or eat.

I do! i love my animals they are my babies! My bed is there bed. My boyfriend loves it also he will go look for sofia (our cat) and tell her "It's time for bed" and put her in the bed with us lol. I love that he loves it also, my world would be nothing with out my babies so where i can lay and be they also are. I can understand the hair thing our cat is a long haired cat so she gets hair everywhere but we just deal, we have never gotten it in our mouth (well at least me)
If it becomes to much you should sit your partner down and be like "babe, I love you and i love our dog, but the hair is getting to be too much". Dont say it in a rude way because ALOT of people (Myself too) take it personally when someone says something about my animals in a rude way or like they are telling me what do to with my children (My animals) but i think if you two talk about it you can find a middle ground.

Good luck love!

I wouldn't say she watches anything (she's either playing energetically or sleeping soundly when her energy runs out) but she does perk up when she hears dogs on TV or when Caesar speaks.

I currently live on my own, and my dog sleeps with me. I like it that way! However, I have a feeling that if/when I share a bed with another person, I won't be so happy to have the dog there, too. It strikes me as a mood killer.

Our pets are welcome to sleep with us if they wish though we only have one cat right now and he owns the girls. He sleeps upstairs with them.

cats and bunnies would always be cool, as well as well behaved, short clawed, small dogs. my BF's dog however is large, stinky, not so well behaved, a bed hog, and has vampire nails right now. still, i let him sleep with me when cody's away, and invite it really. he reminds me of my beau a bit. he's even been caught spooning! ridonk.

if he didnt take up the WHOLE bed and snore and stink, i'd be okay with it.

as it is he's usually a pain in the ass.

I have a fleece blanket I have on the corner of my bed that my kitten likes to sleep on sometimes. I think it's because she was abandoned (found her and nursed her by bottle) so the fleece is comforting to her. I love when she sleeps next to me. Of course as she gets bigger it's a little harder to find room for her when both my boyfriend and I are in the bed.
