Sheets

Contributor: Airlia Airlia
Do any of you use 'special sheets'? When my husband and I have some of our kinkier sex the sheets tend to get extremely messy/wet. Instead of always shoving them in the washing machine I need something sturdier just for sex

Try the Liberator Throe. This does it for us. Read the reviews.

I use my regular sheets. We have a good washer & dryer and extra sheets.

Ha ha ha ha...seriously, my ribs hurt now...that was way too funny

I use towels too. I am way too cheap to buy a Throe, no matter how sexy and convenient they are.

I have never really used a towel. The practicality of it just turns me right off. For the most part, it's not an issue because I, like most people, wash my sheets. LOL Though I did experience some staining from some lubes years ago.

Ha. Glad I got some laughs over that one.

I agree, Adriana, towels aren't very sexy. But I spent $60 on each set of sheets that I have, and I don't want to stain them with lube/fluids. Towels are all I've got.

Same with us... but sometimes towels tend to get soaked and hence sheets. So we end up washing pretty much the entire house... I think the throe might save us from that.

I know it's not the right season right now, but I bought a couple of "king sized" beach towels a couple of summers ago that work really well. They are seriously almost 8' long and about 3' wide. They are so big they can be folded over a couple of times and still be big enough to move around on and not be as limited as with regular towels. I know they aren't so sexy, but it's nice to just be able to toss them off the bed when it's all done.

My sheets are really pricey as well (I'm embarrassed to say how much I spent on flipping cotton!). The only lubricant that has stained them is my silicone based one.
Just so you know, in case the towel is ever forgotten.

Good suggestion with the beach towels.

There is a product called Luv Linens that works very well. It would be great if Eden carried them. They look like ordinary sheets (floral, plaid, or cheetah) but they are super-absorbent.

The large one (3' x 3') costs $36. Here is the link: link

The link doesn't work for me either, bad/outdated security code is what fire fox says on the error page.

I must say though, those things are hideous! I don't know about most people, but I don't want to have sex on something that looks like one of my father's shirts or something that might belong to my grandmother. Those make the price of the throe seem not so bad when as ethics is taken into account. Towels don't cut it for me now that I've learned how to squirt, so I'm looking at those throes much more seriously than I did before.

Squirting is a wonderfully messy blessing! My trusty king-sized beach towel folded over 4 times mostly handles mine.

I did have a female partner one time who, and I am so not kidding, was a sprayer! I'm talking she could squirt a good 4 or 5 feet and it was a lot! We finally just got to where we put a waterproof "sheet" under the regular sheets. It was the only way to protect the mattress.

Bulma, did you see the cheetah print Luv Linens? The link works for me, but if you're having difficulty, try visiting http : // sexorcism. blogspot. com and clicking on the wishlist.

I googled it and found the questionable Luv Linens website, and yeah I saw the cheetah print but I am not a fan of animal prints at all (not much better than plaid in my opinion). I do believe you linked to the "secure" shopping portion of their site, which has an invalid security certificate.

Great you like them, but I don't think they are for me.

Yeah, they're meant to be discreet rather than sexy, I suppose. Lately (since the washing machine ate my throe) I've just been relying on my flannel sheets to absorb wetness. I have a pair of regular sheets underneath them to further protect the mattress. It's ok but I miss the luxe feel and sexy appearance of my throe. ; (

I've actually used some of the softer painters' dropcloths for messier play (especially anything involving baby oil and the like). They work very well and are quite inexpensive.

We usually use a throw over our Esse, and the towel's nearby for wiping. I would kill for a "wet" cover for it!
