Black widow by Wicked Pictures - review by Midway through

Black Widow is a DVD starring Stormy Daniels and Randy Spears. Stormy is a young bride, and she wants Randy's inheritance. She plans to kill him after their third anniversary. She didn't want any suspicion on herself, so she waited three years into their marriage. She then slowly begins poisoning him. Her friend, Kayla, finds out about her plans while digging through Stormy's purse to steal money and warns Randy. Randy then turns Stormy's plan around on her. He calls a friend to find out what medication she has been giving him, and warns the police that if he dies, it was because Stormy poisoned him. Randy also uses her medicine on her, and sees that she displays the same symptoms he had. He knows for sure now that she was trying to poison him. Stormy finds out that Randy found the pills, and that he is poisoning her now. In the end, Randy dies from overdose because he poisons himself. Stormy goes to prison, next to cells with other girls who tried to be black widows.

Audio
The music was consistent all through the movie. I'll admit, during the sex scenes I wished it would just shut off at some point, but it didn't. It was too loud and annoying for me, even though they quieted it down some. It was distracting. It did create a mood for the movie, and for the scenes where there was no sex, it was great. But I feel like they could've shut it off during the sex, at least. The regular dialogue audio was great, it was loud enough that I didn't have to turn the sound up, and it was consistent, so I didn't have to fluctuate sound between scenes to hear the actors and actresses.

Lighting
Most of the lighting for the movie was decent, but a lot of the scenes were dark. While this did fit the movie, especially some scenes that were done in a dark club or in a thunder storm with the lights out, there were several times when I could not see 100% what was going on with the sex scenes. Barrett and Stormy's scene was the worst on lighting. I understand that they were setting a mood with the thunderstorm and all, but all the lights were out and it was so dark I couldn't see anything I wanted to see, which is especially disappointing because I freakin' love Barrett. So boo for lighting effects.

The idea of the movie is that Stormy doesn't really care about sex with her husband, because she wants him dead anyway. She does a good job portraying a character that doesn't show much emotion. It made this hard to enjoy her sex scenes; she just had this lack of interest. The other actors and actresses seemed to have good chemistry. I'm not a fan of Dick, because he's old and I think it's time for him to retire from porn, ew. I don't like watching someone old enough to be my grandpa in my porn.

Packaging
Black Widow is packaged similarly to any other porn DVD. It has an intriguing photo on the front of the star actress, Stormy Daniels. The back shows several scenes from the movie, and is therefore not discreet. It is obviously a porn, and you won't want to leave it lying around for people to see. It has minimal packaging, and is normal DVD-sized.

While I do like many of the stars in this DVD, I didn't really enjoy it like I had hoped. The sex was all vanilla, and very typical. Oral sex, intercourse, facial cum shot. It's very routine and I was easily bored. The movie plot was great, I was interested in the plot, just not the sex scenes. There are mild elements of voyeurism with Stormy watching others have sex sometimes, but it's not enough to really warrant it being a fetish. It's just not my cup of tea, I like a little more roughness in my sex.

As always with Wicked, I am happy they promote safe sex by using condoms in their films. I think that helps give a very positive influence.

This is yet another DVD that I haven't pulled out to watch a second time. It's a pity, I loved the plot and the actors and actresses. But sadly, after having seen the plot once.. there is nothing to see now. If the sex hadn't been quite so routine and vanilla, I probably would be able to say that this one would hit the favorites list.
