Vivid Studios' "Circus" is interesting, if nothing else. It takes a look into the year 2050, when sex has become scandalized and certain sexual acts are outlawed. However, there is a traveling sex-circus that exposes people to the sexual misadventure they have been longing for. While it is mostly a "hands off" show on the audience's part, they do get to participate a little bit. The production value is mediocre and the acting cheesy, but not as bad as in some other porn that I have watched.

Unfortunately, my dislikes outweighed my likes. I was happy to see that they used performers of various races, but the non-white performers were often exotified (portrayed as "exotic") in ways that I wasn't into. For example, a black man's cock was referred to as an "anaconda", and the two black women he gets down with were "snake charmers", and of course, they were all "discovered" in some far-away land. Each of the acts, which were introduced by a pervy (and totally cheesy) ringmaster, all followed the same premise. A sexually deviant circus performer is introduced to a "normal" person (or people), and the following things happen: she sucks his cock, he goes down on her, they fuck, she cums, and then he cums. Next act.

This movie possesses one of the qualities that irk me the most in porn—the women are super noisy, and then men don't make a peep! Well, except for a couple...

Something else that I found bothersome was that the sound was slightly off.

Basically, it's hot because it's porn. Regardless of how off putting the storyline is, you still get to watch people having sex, and that's what we're really concerned about in the long run, isn't it? However, it is not what I would call high quality.

I learned some things about myself from watching this movie. I apparently cannot sit through two straight hours of porn. Just can't. I'm not sure if this is because I had already orgasmed after the first half hour, or if the rest of the feature was just not very good. I guess I'll never know—I do not plan on watching it again to find out.
