The Craving by Wicked Pictures - review by KrissyNovacaine

I am a pretty big fan of what Wicked makes most of the time, but I was pretty let down by The Craving.

I am a huge fan of erotic fairy tales, so this seemed like a perfect movie for me, but part of what I like about erotic fairy tales is that there is typically some kind of plot. The Craving has a narrator, Jessica Drake, who introduce the fairy tale, but it is just a quick explanation of how they are "dirtying up" the story. There is not reenactment of the fairy tales, just people dressed up like the characters (sort of) having sex.

Speaking of costuming, yes some of the dresses are pretty, but most of them look like what you would find at a costume store in the pricier section. The rest of the costumes don't fit the actresses and look cheap to boot. I know that some people won't care, but it bothered me that, for example, Little Red Riding Hood had the cheapest looking red cape. It looked like it was made out of that cheap Halloween costume "velvet".

This movie is all very vanilla sex. 90% of it is one hetero couple dressed up going at it.It starts with oral sex and then the 3 basic porn penis in vagina positions. Over and over again. One of the few exceptions to this is the Pied Piper scene which is a group sex scene with five women and one man, but even then they screwed it up because their set couldn't accommodate that many people so it turns into a lesbian threesome on one side of the room and M-F-F threesome on the other. The cameras keep switching between groups and it gets irritating.

The vanilla-ness of this movie probably makes it good couples movie for people just starting to watch porn together. If you want something more kinky, this is not the film for you.

The packaging is the one part of this movie that I appreciate. It's got a box that doesn't have naked women all over the cover, so I don't get terribly embarrassed when I leave it out. The movie came with a book mark that I think has been used 100 times more than the actual video. The one downside of the packaging is that it is a little difficult to get the case out of the sleeve, but it isn't a huge issue if you aren't trying to rush. (After the first viewing I am not sure why one would want to rush to buy this movie.)

With a $34 price tag, I just don't feel like this movie was worth it. It wasn't funny or interesting. Mostly it sits on the shelf, forgotten.

I haven't watched this in months. I would skip to the Pied Piper scene once in a while, but I have found better porn since and this just sits on my shelf collecting dust. It's just too boring, both in plot and in sex.

I still think that this is a great porn for vanilla couples, but it's not for me at all.
