Neu Wave Hookers by VCA - review by LucyLemonade

Neu Wave Hooker's glossy front page and art school reject girls caught my eye when searching for a porn DVD. Reading the director's name Eon McKai, I got slightly confused, remembering a certain punk rock frontman and thought for a moment I had forgotten the real spelling of his name. It is not however the same person and instead a director who uses the title as a tribute to that genre of art and music.

Aside from the confusing director's name, I was completely lost on the plot line. I know that I'm watching porn, and not a twisted David Lynch brain teaser. But I expect either plot line or nothing at all. Neu Wave Hooker's hopped around confusingly from what was supposed to be a group of girls discovering the old porn title "New Wave Hookers" and thus converting them to neu wave hookers, to strangely awkward scenes I just couldn't figure out. The music is borderline at best, teetering between cute and annoying, with some horrid lyrics.

The DVD is 2 hours 25 minutes long, and packed full of scenes. Plenty of blowjobs, double penetration, and some toy play. I was drawn in by the beautiful girls in the film covered in tattoos and piercings. But a part of me would have just been happy with the bonus disc that includes still frames of the girls in a striptease fashion. Contained on the bonus disc is also a few quick out-takes, trailers, behind the scenes and commentary.

Instead of harping more on the plot line, the sex scenes were overall well produced and I enjoyed the use of color. The first scene full scene involves Joanne Angel and Kurt Lockwood. I can't say I was into the constant spitting on Kurt's penis during the blowjob scenes, but that may be due to my own ick factor on excess saliva. Riley Mason and James Deen have a more interesting encounter using a swing set prop. Included are some fun acrobatics, though Riley's eye contact with the camera during the blowjob scenes was strangely off putting and vacant.

Sierra Sin wonders what double penetration feels like and magically poofs to a scene with both James Deen and Tommy Pistol. Later in the disc there is a threesome between Riley Mason, Nyomi Zen and Kurt Lockwood. Nyomi Zen has some beautiful eyes and pulls off the eye contact during a blowjob sequence much better. There is a creative 69 position with Riley hanging upside down to give a blowjob while Nyomi comes up from below to join in.

A strange "reenactment" scene with Dana DeArmond as Traci Lords is included. The story is supposed to be the way that Traci was discovered to play in the original "New Wave Hookers". It included some trivia and a long blowjob scene.

Rounding out the film is a "girls only" toy scene involving all the girls and various vibrators, butt plugs, and strap-ons. I have to say this was probably the most enjoyable scene in the entire movie as it involved some of the less featured girls who I thought were the most interesting. I enjoyed the slightly softer appeal of this scene.

There are a few girls that I found beautiful in this film. Tiger has an intensity that I felt Riley and Joanne lacked but yet Tiger was featured in the film more as a side character. Justine Joli and Felix Vicious are both stunning, but were more involved only during the last all-girl scene.

I have a few specific critiques about this film, but this may be a common viewpoint of women that view porn. I found the constant choking and gagging to be very off putting and uncomfortable to watch. Some may enjoy watching a girl gag and glurg during a blowjob, but I prefer a little more finesse and the overall effect that both individuals are actually enjoying the act. I also noticed that during many of the scenes it seemed like the male actor's hands went right for the woman's throat. The first time I choked it up to rough sex, but it was continuous throughout the film.

My final thoughts of Neu Wave Hookers was that any woman who is triggered by sexual assault should avoid watching this film due to the strange scenes interlaced between the actual sex scenes of "Old Man's Hands" involving an intentionally old and dirty man is pawing over the girls, who are trying to resist his advances. It is set up as a scene involving each of the girls as sex workers who are uncomfortable with the old man. Personally, I found it really killed any mood that I began to get into. The scenes are unnecessarily long and highly uncomfortable.
