Playgirl: Playing Dirty - erotic video by Playgirl TV - review by R.

It shouldn't be as hard as it is, but unfortunately great porn for women is hard to come by. It was my partner's birthday and I wanted to get her a special treat. I thought that going with a trusted name like Playgirl would be the way to go. I let her pick it out, and "Playing Dirty" seemed to have a lot going for it: attractive people on the cover, and a title that looked exciting.

I let my partner watch it on her own first, and then the plan was that we could watch it together. She was extremely excited to see it - we are both big fans of erotica, but unfortunately Playgirl did not deliver the goods on this one.

The basic flaw in the film is the style. One of the most exciting parts about a film for my partner is the relationship and chemistry between the couple in the film; the sexual tension and then release. With this film however, there is really only sex and no story or set up.

The film is shot as several shorts, all women's fantasies. There is voice over narration which is distracting. The first scene is of a woman receiving a massage which immediately turns into sex. No build of emotion or sensuality, just sex. Other fantasies are sex by the pool side, and even one that's very cheesy of an unattractive cowboy shooting at bad guys and then once again immediately having sex with a damsel in distress. It was cheesy though in that we don't see her in distress or bad guys. Just looks like they are on a set. Another scene is a woman watching Playgirl TV on her television, and then a man walking out of the television to make love with her. This was the cheese wiz of cheesy.

Hopping from one short to another keeps the movie inconsistent. We had purchased the film thinking that it would be one continuous story. Instead it is just one sex scene to the next without story at all even in the mini scenes.

Granted, there can be enjoyment in watching just raw sex, especially if there is variety. In this film however, it was just the same sex from scene to scene, without much variation. Additionally, there was no real sound from the couples, just the voiceover. No communication between the couples, not even sounds of pleasure. This took away from the film for both me and my partner.

All in all, I would not recommend this film for women or for couples, although it does make a decent film for us guys.
