Body Heat by Digital Playground - review by jedent

I must say that it is rare to not only find a porn with a somewhat decent plot worth watching to the very end, or that has scenes (where nobody is having sex) that you are sitting on the edge of your seat due to the high intensity, or that has such awesome cinematography that you think "wow, someone really put their heart into making this porn," but that is just what Body Heat brings to the table.

Too bad it was too glitchy to enjoy in some parts due to what I can only imagine is bad coding, but I'll get back to that in a minute.

Here we have a firehouse over run with hot blonde chicks and madly buff and angular men with the top sexiest accents found around the globe. These actors were hand-freaking-picked to play the parts of fire fighters, and this just adds to my belief that this film was loved by someone in its making. I mean the thing opens with sad piano music while the camera pans over old sepia photographs of firetrucks, firehouses, and fire fighters rescuing people from burning buildings.

After an incredibly intense bomb squad situation that turns out to be rather heartbreaking for not only the entire cast after the bomb diffuser cuts the wrong wire and is killed, but also for the girl he was about to propose to, we learn that this group of really pretty folks are incredibly tight knit and truly concerned about saving lives. Which is why it is such a very big problem that a man who calls himself "Cash" wants to buy their fire house and tear it down to make room for something bigger and better (though I never caught what that was, exactly.)

The crew, not wanting to lose their home and become separated from each other when they find work at other fire houses, decide to raise money to buy it themselves before Cash can get his hands on it. Here is where you get to see a super hot "fire truck wash" scene that features both the men and women getting all wet and soapy while onlookers smile and donate to their cause.

This of course makes very little money and so Riley, one of the hot babes, decides to pay Mr. Cash and his busty secretary a visit to see if she can't change his mind about buying their building. Though we've now seen a few very hot and very decently put together x-rated scenes by this point, we now get to watch Riley, Cash, and the Secretary get it on in an awesome threesome.

Meanwhile, the entire fire department is in therapy due to the loss of their comrade, and naturally the was-gunna-be fiance of the slain man is angry and refuses to speak to the counselor. No matter, because the men come pouring in to her office to spill their true frustrations, which is their severe raging attraction to their incredibly hot chief, who is a mysterious Asian woman of few words and vast authority. The therapist, one by one, discovers that the men are "turned on by authority figures," which turns her on because she is an authority figure, and she fucks the shit out of them (not all at the same time, but in their private sessions throughout the movie.)

Toward the end the hot chief surprises two of the men in the shower and drops the soap--classic--for a hot shower scene threesome. And after Cash finds himself in a life threatening situation and is rescued by the fire department (sans masks or anything when they go into the burning building, because it is after all, you know, just a porn and not totally realistic or anything) he decides to buy the building but hand the deed over to the chief.

Yay! Everyone is happy! Lesbian fire fighter orgy on top of the fire truck! The End!

Great plot, very decent acting for a porno, awesome cinematography, but as I said before, glitchy. This DVD was brand new straight out of the packaging, and my DVD player works just fine, and yet even in the very beginning when Digital Playgound's animation of the flaming horse running around came on the playback was not unlike when you temporarily lose signal on satellite television. Blocks of image are scattered and the sound cuts away, I mean. It did this throughout the film randomly, and we found that if you use the chapter selection it gets worse. If you let it sit for about five minutes it mostly recovers, but any pausing, fast forwarding, or rewinding fuck up the playback and make it unwatchable.

My opinion is that a place called Digital Playground should know their shit when it comes to coding their product, because I have a feeling that I'm not the only one who received a poorly made almost bootleg-ish copy. Send your tech guys back to the drawing board, because if a porn cannot be paused, re-winded and fast forwarded, then what good is it?

The playback quality is the only reason I am giving this movie 4 stars, otherwise I give it a 5 star performance.
