Loving Desires by California Exotics is a card game meant for a couple to play. The box says this is a simple and sexy game where desires become reality. The goal of the game is to see how well you know your partner's sexual desires or fantasies through the questions that are on each card. This might be a good game for those who like this type of play, or would like to improve communication with their partner.

According to the instructions each person takes a turn drawing a card from the deck. Then they're supposed to read it out loud and write down their answer, not letting their partner see it. The partner is then supposed to answer the question according to what they think their partner wrote down. If the answers match, they both score a point. If the answers don't match, the guesser doesn't score a point but the person holding the card does. When you've scored 3 points together, you're supposed to pick one of the three answers and incorporate that into your next lovemaking.

One example of what it says on a card is "A place on my body that you have never kissed but that I want you to."

Loving Desires contains a deck of 52 cards. They're red with the words "Loving Desires" on the back and one question on the other side. The cards are fairly well made but they're definitely not as sturdy or strong as your basic deck of playing cards. It all comes in a box that has the title and a semi-discreet picture of a naked man and woman on it. So you probably will not want to leave this deck lying around anywhere. It also contains a rule booklet that is very easy to understand.

We had mixed feelings about this game. I would say about half the questions either were too silly or we really didn't find them applicable. And some of them almost seemed too similar to another question that was already asked. But there were some that we liked and were pretty good and we did have fun with those. What we did when we came across a question that we both felt didn't work for us, is that we just skipped it and picked another card. We did not end up playing out any desires at the end. There really weren't any that we could, because some of the questions don't even have to do with acting anything out. Just as an example, one of the questions that my husband got right was "Someone who I would least want to see me naked." So as you can see that wouldn't even be possible to incorporate into our lovemaking. We probably will not play this game again, but I may go through the questions and see which ones might make for fun conversations once in a while.

Finally, this game is really probably more for a couple who are still at the early stages of their relationship. If the types of questions I gave as examples appeals to you, then you will probably love this game.
