There are a few things this product was intended to do, and it does all of them admirably.

The packaging isn't much. All of your straws will be in a plastic bag with a cardboard top. The top will tell you that you have a 10 piece set of glow in the dark dicky straws, but doesn't list anything about materials or cleaning.

In this package you'll get 10 glow in the dark straws shaped like penises. Well, the top 2 1/2" or so is shaped like a penis. It's pretty realistic and detailed from having balls, to lots of veins, to a defined head and even a "pee hole." The hole in the top is what you drink out of obviously, and you can have fun and pretend you're "blowing" the straw while you're drinking. Each straw is about 7 1/2" tall and will work well in a variety of glasses, however really tall glasses are a bad idea because the straw simply won't reach the top.

They're functional as straws, although a little awkward to drink out of because the head of the penis is a bit larger than most standard straw openings, but the part that the fluid comes out of is much smaller. As you drink, fluids do gather in the balls, but they seem to drain fairly quickly as well. They appear to be made of plastic, and are thin enough that you can squish them with your hands but thick enough that they're actually a bit sturdier than most regular straws. Cleaning them can be a bit difficult and awkward. You can try running them through the dishwasher, although the heat might cause them to deform. I haven't done it yet because the dishwasher isn't working, but I plan to test it. Otherwise you can wash them with the rest of your dishes in warm soapy water. Make sure to rinse well so there's no soap residue inside your balls, and let them air dry before putting them away. You can keep them all in a plastic baggy to keep them clean and ready to use, although a quick rinse beforehand won't hurt.

Now for the part that you're really here to hear about; how well they glow. They do! Fantastically! For a few minutes... They have a super bright glow, like the kind you can see even with the lights on, especially when exposed to bright light. But the glow really does only seem to last for a minute or two which is sort of a shame. However the main function of these is to serve as straws, and that they do quite well.

I bought these thinking they'd be more like a one time use that would give us all some giggles and then we'd be over it, but I ended up really liking them. They're sturdy enough to last for a long time provided you take care of them, and they're pretty fun to use as well. I'm glad I got them, and I'd gladly buy more in the future.
