Peni- ice tray by Cal Exotics - review by giggled

This ice cube tray is smaller than a standard ice cube tray and made of semi transparent whitish plastic. It's made of polyethylene and produced in China. The packaging tells you to "Create Some Sexy Ice for that Special Cocktail!" which makes me wonder about the contents of the cocktail, and the (presumably) drug-induced haze which would prompt someone to think that novelty penis shaped ice-cubes are sexy.

The ice cube tray itself is pretty straightforward. Its sturdy enough to fill and hold, but flexible enough to extract the cubes without cracking, and the edges are bent down to provide an even base for the tray to stand on in the freezer. The only design issue I take with it is that there's no edge to keep water from rolling off the top of the tray, which makes it tough to carry without spilling a lot of water.

That's just for ice cubes though. If you intend to use this product for other things, like candy molds or jello shooters, this tray is great. Because of the lack of edge, you could pretty easily modify the product to add a depression for sticks to make penis pops.

Let's face it, water is boring, and having a regular old penis made out of ice for the purpose of chilling drinks may simply strike the uninitiated as an oddly shaped cube, nothing more. To really wow them, try filling the tray with orange or cranberry juice. Juice cubes also add a nice flavor to mixed drinks as they melt, and look pretty striking in a glass.

As with any new toy or food product, you should wash the tray well with warm soapy water (and rinse thoroughly, of course). The little penis molds have smiley faces on them and enough detail to make this tray really wasted on ice. They're vastly superior for candy making and allow for all sorts of intriguing and alarming detail. Because of the smiley face, they're a lot more appealing as candies than other adult candy molds that just look like grizzly trophies.
