The Anal Tool is a great anal toy for beginners, but expect to have some frustrations getting it in as it is quite limp. As a tool to explore anal stimulations, it is perfect, but don't expect much from it once you get used to such sensations.
As the name of the toy implies, this is for anal use mostly. And personally I wouldn't recommend that you use it anally and vaginally without using a condom over it, since it is made of jelly which is a material that can't be sterilized. This also means that you shouldn't make a habit of sharing it with others unless you take the same precautions.
Also, this toys seems to be oriented toward the anal beginners, since it is not intimidating, except maybe the last ball which can feel large for someone who isn't used to anal play. Having said that, I'm not sure I would recommend it for such a user, since it is not an easy-to-insert toy due to its floppiness.
Since it it soft and floppy, I suppose you could use it under your clothes during your everyday activities such as work, grocery shopping, going out, etc. I haven't used it in such a manner so I can't say whether this toy is great for such a use.
The Anal Tool is made of jelly which is a porous and soft material. Too soft, maybe, for this toy because when you want to insert it you have to struggle with the first bead to get it in place and in. This can be disappointing, especially when it is your partner who wants to get it in (this is even harder).
This floppiness has its good side; it is not intimidating and it has a lot of give, so it won't be too hard on you if you are an anal beginner. That floppiness is not ideal for thrusting with this toy. This is sad, since the beads feel great as they slide in one by one. In my experience, it is better to use it as a plug while you masturbate or take care of your loved one.
I absolutely love the shape of this toy. It is perfect for anal beginners since it starts small and gets progressively larger, so it is possible to work it in slowly. I would have loved it if this toy would have been a little stiffer, since the insertion can be problematic as it is too flexible.
This was the first toy I bought specifically for anal play and it did deliver some play time, as I explored new sensations. But it wasn't long that it got left behind, because I had outgrown it or gotten bored by its floppiness. The fact that I got a wavy glass toy not long after I bought the Anal Tool might explain why I didn't used it more.
I would still recommend it for someone wishing to explore anal stimulation as it is not costly, but if one can afford it, I would recommend something similar to this product, but made of silicone.
Since it is made of jelly, you can only wash this toy in warm water with mild soap. You can't sterilize it so don't forget to use a condom if you want to use it on someone else or if you plan on using it both vaginally and anally.
As I said in the performance section, I have quickly grown tired of its floppiness. Also, even if it is a good first anal toy, it is not a good anal toy for long once you are used to anal stimulation. For these reasons I don't use it anymore and I haven't used it for more than a year. I might give it another try someday,.
Follow-up commentaryI still don't like it3 months after original review
As I did mention in my original review, this toy doesn't do it for me anymore. We even recently put it in the trash can as it had some discoloration all over the place. This is not a product that will last a life-time.
