This plug is designed for anal use, but can also be used vaginally. The base on the Royal Ripple makes it very secure for anal use. I think that this toy may be pleasurable vaginally and be able to hit your g-spot, but if you are buying this for vaginal pleasure, then I would suggest getting a glass dildo with no texture instead.

This plug would be suggested for anyone who has tried a plug before or knows that they can take a larger size. Even though a beginner would be able to use this toy with some time to warm up, for some bodies it might be long enough to hit your second sphincter (I am a very small person). Relaxing your second sphincter is difficult for many people, so warm up will be required.

Depending on the lighting of the room, the color of this plug turns from a dark purple to a clear, colorless glass. This plug looks clear in my room lighting. In the kitchen, strangely enough, it looks blue.



The Royal Ripple is made of borosilicate glass. Glass rates a 10 on Eden's Safety Scale and can be used with any type of lube. It is smooth and non-porous, thus will require very little lube for it to glide in your body. Glass does not "drag" like a silicone plug would. Also, this glass plug is not flexible like a silicone or rubber plug, causing it to be a little more challenging for beginners.

For those of you that may have a fear of glass "breaking" inside of you, I can assure you that this will not shatter from impact. I have already dropped this toy once or twice from a short distance, and I have not seen any break lines or chips in this plug. The glass warms up to you internal body temperature, making it pleasurable for long term wear. Although the plug may not seem that large, it feels larger than it appears because of the unforgiving material. However, this plug will leave you feeling full and wanting more.

The Royal Ripple is a beautifully shaped glass plug which has an hour-glass shaped, flat base with a tapered neck that leads up to a gentle, pleasurable head. The glass is a translucent shade of purple, not a deep shade like in the picture.

I found that the design of this plug was very pleasurable. Not only is the Royal Ripple beautiful to look at, but it fits my body perfectly. The base fits between my cheeks and stays put for long term wear. At first, I wished for a narrower neck, because I was not used to the way that it was stretching me while I was wearing it. However, I began to realize that the stretching from the thicker neck makes it more pleasurable. I also do not have to worry about this toy falling out during sex, which was one of my initial worries.

The only problem I would have with this toy is the shape of the base. It gets in the way of vaginal entry, which is a common complaint for plugs with larger bases. However, I almost would not change it because the size of the base eases all fears that it might slip in.

The size of this toy was perfect for my butt. At times I wish that the head was not as long, so that it wouldn't hit my second sphincter when I first insert it. I have never had a toy that has made me feel as full like this toy does. If I buy another plug, it is most likely to be glass, because I really enjoy the way that it glides into my body comfortably and fills me up.

This toy may be a little too large for beginners. I'd suggest a more forgiving silicone toy, like the Pacifier Advanced, or a smaller glass plug, to those who are new to anal play. However, if you are an intermediate user ready to move into the world of larger plugs, this plug can become your pal.

This toy can be used with a harness, but because of the unforgiving nature of glass, I would not suggest thrusting with this toy.
