An opinion from a beginner

I'm a beginner when it comes to anal play, and I had a difficult time using this toy, so I wouldn't call it beginner friendly. If you are looking for a toy with a mild vibration that you have to insert fully and leave in place, you might like this toy. The fact that the vibrator is removable is the best part about this toy. The little vibrator is very versatile, and in the end, I had much more fun using it on its own than I ever did using it inside the jelly sleeve it goes with.

Use

The primary use for this toy is obviously for it to be used anally. I always used a water based lubricant with this toy, and plenty of it. Because this can be messy, I'd always put a towel down first when I used it on my bed.

The toy claims to be waterproof, and this is accurate. I took it into the shower on multiple occasions, and I never once had a problem with any kind of water leakage into the battery compartment.

Because of the way this vibrator is designed, I actually found that it was a bit difficult to insert. The tip is very flexible and not rigid at all. For me, that meant that I really couldn't thrust it in and out easily. I personally never used the complete toy with a partner, but I feel like it would be much easier for a partner to manipulate the toy than when you're using it solo.

I would NOT recommend using the sleeve of this toy vaginally unless you also use a condom since the material can pick up bacteria pretty easily.

The inner vibrating part of this toy is wonderfully versatile. It is easy to remove from the jelly sleeve, and it is great for all kinds of stimulation. I have used it on my nipples, clit, hollow of the throat...it's really great for anywhere that you want to feel a tingly vibration. I HAVE used the inner vibrator with a partner, and it feels wonderful having someone drag it over your skin.

Material / Texture

The sleeve of this toy is made out of jelly. It has a rubbery, slightly tacky feel to it, which means it picks up any stray piece of hair or lint. The jelly material also has a rather strong odor that only faded a little bit over time.

The jelly sleeve has a bulbous texture with five nodes that get larger as you approach the base. The sleeve itself is squishy and very flexible. When the vibrator is inserted, the tip (down to the third bump) is still flexible and very bendy, but the bottom is rigid because of the vibrator.

It's important to note that jelly is a porous material that can pick up bacteria, and it's impossible to sterilize. I didn't actually know that at the time I purchased the toy, so I never used it with a condom. But using a condom will create a barrier that keeps any bacteria on the toy from getting into your sensitive bits!

The thin vibrator that slides into the jelly sleeve is made out of a hard plastic. It has a smooth texture, and it is very easy to clean.

Design / Shape / Size

I chose this particular toy because I was a total beginner when it came to anal play, and the description said this toy would be good for a beginner. I ended up not really being fond of the jelly sleeve at all. Because of how flexible the tip is, it was very difficult to insert. As a beginner, I was hoping that I could go gradually and perhaps only use the first part of the toy to start, but this really wasn't possible. Only inserting this toy halfway caused it to pop out every time I tried...which is quite a mood killer!

I found the transition between the third and fourth bump to be a bit too drastic for me. The toy suddenly goes from being thin and barely there to having a bit of girth given that once you hit the fourth bump, there is also a vibrator inside. And for me, the fifth bump was always too painful. No matter how hard I tried to relax every time I fully inserted this toy, I found it to be rather painful. So most of the times I tried using this toy, it either popped out because I didn't have it in far enough, or it hurt because I had it in too far. It was really not the gradual sort of exposure to anal play that I had been hoping for.

In terms of being discreet, the jelly sleeve is definitely not discreet. It is big and purple and pretty much looks like a sex toy. However, I would say that the inner vibrator is very discreet. It's about the size of a tube of lipstick, so I'd say it would be suitable for travel without any worries.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator is located in only the bottom half of the jelly sleeve. As I mentioned above, I had all kinds of trouble actually inserting the toy, but once it is in, the vibrator is very easy to operate. There is a simple turn dial at the base of the toy. When the vibrator is in the jelly sleeve, the jelly muffles the sound and it is very quiet. Unfortunately, the jelly also muffles the vibrations quite a bit, so even when turned up as high as it could go, the vibration will never feel all that strong through the jelly.

I took this toy into the shower on multiple occasions, and it performed very well in the water. I actually really liked using it in the tub because it made clean up a bit easier. I never once had a problem with water leaking into the battery compartment of the vibrator.

If you use the vibrator without the sleeve, it is a little bit noisier, but I wouldn't call it loud. The vibrations are much stronger without the jelly sleeve...surprisingly so given that it only takes one battery.

Care and Maintenance

Because this toy is made out of jelly, it's not actually possible to sterilize it. It is a porous material that will pick up bacteria. However, when I used mine, I did always spray it down with an antibacterial spray designed to be used on sex toys. I would do this both before and after I used it. I always used a water based lube with this toy, but jelly material is also compatible with silicone based lubes as well.

The material is very prone to picking up stray hairs and fuzz, so you will probably want to check it for lint before you start using it. I kept mine stored in the hard plastic package it came in. You definitely don't want to store this in any kind of cloth bag that might leave fuzz on it.

Personal comments

I have very mixed feelings about this toy. In the end, I absolutely HATED the jelly sleeve. It was difficult to use and it never felt totally comfortable. But the worst thing is that eventually the jelly went from being clear and translucent to sort of cloudy looking, even though I was very careful about cleaning the toy. Once it started to look odd, I promptly threw it out. I'm not sure what caused the change in appearance, but I didn't want to take any chances.

The reason I have mixed feelings is that I absolutely LOVE the little vibrator that came with the jelly sleeve. Even though I only kept the jelly sleeve for several months, I've had that little vibrator for several years, and it's still going strong. I've never had a vibrator last as long as this one has.

In the end, I can't really recommend the toy given my negative experiences with the jelly sleeve, but I consider the slim vibrator the silver lining of this toy.
