Art Deco butt plug sex toy review

This one's a keeper. Its size is perfect--not uncomfortably large, but big enough that you feel it. It's also really pretty as far as plugs go, reminiscent of a glass marble.

Although I don’t typically do jelly toys, I tried the Art Deco butt plug|Anal Plugs: Art Deco butt plug purely on aesthetic appeal. For the most part it held up; the black and white stripes swirling up the center reminded me of old school marbles – very pretty. There were clear seams, however, where various parts of the plug’s construction had been joined together. Fear not, these seams don’t impact the toy’s surface, it is entirely smooth.

Beyond what it looks like (as you’re probably not doing a whole lot of looking at it when it’s in someone’s butt) it’s an excellent little plug. It was smaller coming out of the package than I had expected, but larger than what my partner had anticipated. In practice, its measurements turned out to be just right. Its length is appropriate, letting you know it’s in there but not so long that it’s uncomfortable.

The neck to bulb ratio works out really well. Once you’ve put it in, it stays there. The neck is wide enough that you feel comfortably stretched. Again, you know it’s there but it’s not an “ouch” feeling. The base is oblong, making it fit more comfortably between the cheeks than circular bases. However, it is not skinny enough to allow it to be worn for long bouts unless you’re bent over for the whole time.

Although the Crystalessence jelly material is prettier, it does still possess the trademark jelly smell. A positive aspect of the jelly material, however, is that this plug is softer than plugs made of other materials. The feeling contracting around something that gives a little is something new.

All in all, this plug turned out to be a crowd pleaser. It’s a jelly, and thus will not likely become one of my favorite toys; but with a condom to cover it, it will be in frequent rotation.
Follow-up commentary
Unfortunately this toy still smells a little funny, and it's not for lack of cleanliness. I'm still digging it's shape and color though. It's not my favorite toy of all time, but it serves it's purpose well.

The difference between Crystalessence and Jelly is that according to the product description page Crystalessence is nonporous and is also compatible to use with water, silicone, and oil lubes.. where as jelly is highly porous and can only be used with water and silicone lube.

How, exactly, did a toy become a crowd pleaser? Because that'd be a sight to see, walking down the street!
