Anal beads are intended to add a little something extra to your orgasm. This particular style can be effective in a few different ways. The use is fairly simple once you experiment with them. I love anal stimulation, but I have never used a retrieval cord on beads. This was all new to me and I took my time using them before I decide I knew enough to write this review. My personal favorite way of using them is to insert them during warm-up time one-by-one. I then preferred to leave them until after I orgasm. This is an okay product for beginners as it's cheap and simple. It's hard to clean so, if you're not wanting to spend time with that, forget it. It's suitable for travel or tub use if you wish and can be stored easily. You CAN get creative with this.

The beads are made out of a hard plastic that is easy enough to wash. The cord is made of a nylon material which is NOT easy to wash. There's nothing life-like or realistic about this product. That's not even the intention. It serves its purpose, but I wouldn't suggest sharing by any means. It's not the cleanest product for anal use and it's hard to keep it from getting messy.

The beads themselves are very hard and create pressure on all of the right spots. The cord makes the beads easy to move and roll around and creates a totally different sensation than jelly beads do. The materials are latex free, phthalates free and hypo-allergenic. On top of this, there is zero odor. I didn't smell a thing.

The design seems promising when you initially look at the product. The longer you look, the more you realize how poor the construction is. So, great design, poor construction. There are five beads that are connected with a nylon cord. At the end of this cord, there's a nifty little retrieval handle that keeps the product from "getting lost" and makes it easier to pull out. The size of the beads wouldn't be too big for beginners, but they do offer a smaller size if you are intimidated by the medium. The problems start with that goofy cord. To secure the beads, there are little knots in the cord. These are a bit uncomfortable during insertion. Once the beads are inserted, I didn't even notice any issues. There's also a spot a the very end of the string that is melted or treated somehow to keep the string from unraveling on you. Great idea at first, bad idea in the end (literally). It could have been done better.

The design sort of works because the beads can be inserted one at a time for slow foreplay without some stiff jelly being in the way. They also stack nicely and feel good once they are inserted, providing stimulation and pressure in all of the right places. The handle makes it easier to work with and the flexibility of the product overall makes it seem promising. The construction just needs to be better.

Upon insertion, that "end" was REALLY stiff and "poky" and caused a LOT of discomfort to the point that I almost said "screw it" and put the beads back in the drawer. I decided to play around with it and try to bend it around and loosen it up. Then I slathered on the lube and tried again. This time I felt less pain and went along with my playtime. The knots between the beads were still a bit uncomfortable, but once I got them in, it was soooo worth it! Or so I thought...
After playtime, I went to pull the beads out. 1-2-3-4-5- YEOOOOOW!
That "poky" end showed me who's boss and hurt my behind soooo bad on the way out. I went to clean up the toy and myself and realized the toy made me bleed! Not cool.
I have tried to make this work and can't really figure out a way. I took my time trying to research product mods and ideas and I have yet to find a safe way to make this product work for me. I'd be willing to try something similar. The idea is great. I just wish the cord was a bit better.

This thing is easy to store, but a NIGHTMARE to clean. The materials seem safe enough, but the string is going to be hard to scrub clean. There are also little holes in the beads that the string is run through and it can be difficult to clean around those as well. I soak mine in mild soap and water and then clean really well with toy cleaner and VERY hot water. Storage is easy with the materials not being something that you have to worry about "reacting" with other toys. They don't attract a lot of dust or lint either. I just store mine in a little cloth bag in my toy closet.
I would suggest condom use with this toy, but I couldn't figure out a way to use one without compromising the design of the beads. If you can get creative and think of a way, be sure to let me know!

This product comes in a standard clamshell package with a little insert card. There isn't a lot of info on the card and the presentation wouldn't make a nice gift. I even found it to be too bulky for storage, so I just tossed it in the garbage.
