The Colt is a very inexpensive versatile toy - more like a tool. In your toy box the Colt could be like the Swiss army knife. It's an effective clit vibe, makes for an aggressive vaginal penetrator - and some day would make a great ass vibe! I just can't handle the hard plastic 1.5" shaft - in spite of my ambition to do so.

The smooth tapered tip makes vaginal penetration quite easy - then the almost imperceptibly tapered shaft gradually expands from 1.25" to the full 1.5" - smooth for the entire trip. Once fully imbedded the 6" long black shaft delivers strong vibes at the tip - nearest you or your partner's deep a-spot. Even though the internal bullet is in the tip, the rigid plastic shaft effectively delivers vibrations all along the length of the shaft.

If you are into vigorous thrusting this baby is your toy! The ample handle makes controlling this beast easy and isolates your had from the vibrating shaft.

For the more advanced anal players out there - the hard smooth plastic shaft will easily accommodate your favorite lube - even silicone.

In my opinion this smooth black plastic vibe is body friendly and can be used with any type of lube. It has no nasty jelly or rubber odor.

Be careful - although 1.5" doesn't seem like a large toy, but this toy is like glass or steel - perfectly smooth, but absolutely no give. As a smooth toy there is no texture to add stimulation - but the girth of the shaft provides strong vaginal stimulation along the length of its penetration. For some this will be good for g-spot stimulation, for others the lack of a curved tip will diminish their g-spot experience.

As you can tell by the name Colt the Prowler - the manufacturer intended for this toy to be perceived as 'aggressive' - and I'd have to say they succeeded. The prominent 'billy-club' style handle, large hard shaft and strong vibes all deliver an aggressive look, feel and function.

I had high hopes for using this shaft anally - but for that to work for me, the taper would have to me more gradual. I've worked my way up to 1.5" - but I can't do it with this toy - so for us this toy falls into the vaginal penetrator category.

If you don't already have a great clit vibe like the Form 2, Mimi, Hitachi, etc - this could be your go to clit vibe as well. At such a low price point this could be a great starter toy because of it's versatility.

Although it may be too much for younger beginners, I'd say that any woman with children should be able to accommodate the smooth shaft. I hope this doesn't insult any women out there - it's just been my experience that a woman who has delivered vaginally has a different tolerance for girth than one who has not.

The Colt uses 3 AAA batteries that are easily installed through the handle. The tip of the handle serves as the easy to adjust dial-type variable speed control.

The battery compartment is sealed with an o-ring that speaks to it's waterproof design. The Colt worked well in the shower and I'd have no problem taking the Colt into the or tub - we just haven't done that yet. I'd be careful not to drop it, the rigid plastic may be brittle when faced with an impact onto a hard ceramic surface.

Even on it's lowest setting the vibes are surprising strong - then ramp up to very strong from there. It's no Hitachi - but for a battery powered toy it rates very high. The sound is completely a function of the level - as you turn the knob the vibes and sound increase.

One thing that is great about the Colt is that the batteries are held firmly in the compartment so you don't hear the annoying battery vibration that happens in many similar toys.

The Colt is a breeze to care for. Simply wash in hot soapy water, dry and store. If you're extra fastidious you can add a disinfecting wipe and clean before use as well. We don't do that - but to each their own.

The hard plastic plays nice with the other toys in our toy drawer. We don't take any special precautions like we do to keep silicone toys from touching.

The packing was as you would expect for a low priced toy. A plastic blister pack with a paper graphic card with info and graphics to catch your eye. For the environmental types out there, I'd say the packaging is eco-friendly because there is no excess - just enough to provide adequate product protection for transport and sale.

If we had purchased this toy long ago it would have gotten plenty of use. It's just that by now we have many high-end toys that we use more frequently. Someday I'm going to get up the nerve to take this bad boy anally - until then...
