Flexi risque - vibrating probe discontinued by Cal Exotics - review by Red Vinyl Kitty

The Flexi Risque is a wonderful little butt toy, and I am really sad that it was discontinued. When I got it, I wasn't sure what to think about it because the base is so gigantic. However, I really love that now as it is comfortable to sit on, and it adds some weight to the toy when it is in the anus.


This toy is really not one that I would choose for a beginner, because it's a bit on the large side. However, I think this is a great medium range butt plug which some will find to be a fun but slightly challenging experience. I think that even advanced users will like this toy because it has a wide range of intense vibration that I have yet to see with other anal plugs.

The Flexi Risque is made from two materials: plastic and rubber. The plastic is hard, and is located on the head of the toy, and the base. The rubber is located in the center flexible part. The material has no smell or taste to it, but it does have a slight drag, mainly because they have a velvety sort of coating on them.


Luckily, because of the materials of this toy you are free to use any kind of lubricant on it. I was happy about that, because I personally prefer to use silicone lubricants with anal toys and anal play in general.

I always misjudge anal toys, and this one was no exception. The bulb has a 1 3/8" circumference, and I forgot to check on that before I accepted the toy for assignment. I got the toy here, and this was a bit too big for me to easily use. However, with copious amounts of lube and a big warm up, I did manage to get it inside. There was a moment when the toy got most of the way in, and before I got past the biggest part, that I yelped in pain and thought "OWE!", although before I could do anything about it, the toy had slipped in, and I was feeling great.


The stem that the head is attached to is very comfortable, and rotates and moves with you, I really liked this. The vibrations are very powerful, and I found that I enjoyed them greatly. Some of the vibration settings were even a little bit too strong for me, so if you like very intense vibrations, you're good to go with the Flexi Risque.


The base is very wide at 3 1/4" across, and it also is a little bit rounded. This makes the toy very comfortable to sit on, while also making it very safe to use during play.

The best thing about this toy, in my opinion? It's reliably waterproof. The base of the toy unscrews to put three AAA batteries (not included!) into it, and once you get this on, the toy is totally water right. I will say though that I had a heck of a time trying to get the battery compartment both opened and closed. In order to close it, you must line the cap up just right, and despite the large base (3/4" thick) it is a bit difficult to grip.


There are several vibrations, some of them range between steady patterns, and some of them oscillate. I find that the stronger vibrations don't feel as intense underwater, and I'm able to enjoy them more.


The Flexi Risque is a bit noisy, so if you're in a room mate situation, you may want to look for another toy. If you can put some music on, or run the shower, I doubt that anyone would hear this. I did find that being under water (in a tub situation, not the shower) seemed to amplify the noise that the toy made, so watch out for that.

The hard plastic of the toy is not porous, but the rubber is. If that makes you nervous you can cover the toy in a condom, and spare yourself a lot of the worries that go with cleaning rubber. You can use soap and water, or a toy cleaner to get this clean.


One major thing to look out for is that the toy has a bit of a lip between the head and stem of the toy. I find that this is very difficult to scrub clean, and sometimes it takes a couple of cleanings to get it looking right.


To store this, I just toss it in with my other toys. I have had no issues at all with this. You could easily store it in a toy bag (if you have one) or a drawer.

The toy comes in a clamshell case, which you could save for storage if you were so inclined. I personally just put mine in the recycle bin, which you could also do. The toy comes with just a slip of paper that is brightly colored and says a little bit about the functions of the toy. The packaging isn't very discreet because you can see the toy right through it, however there were no models or sexy pictures on it.
