Gemstones from Vixen Creations are silicone anal beads. Each set features a strong cord with six 'beads' attached, and an anal safe base on the bottom. Though this toy could be inserted vaginally, it's not very stimulating and is best used for anal pleasure. The beads are inserted one at a time, and requires a little pressure to insert them. While they're inserted, the base doesn't get in the way of intercourse or masturbation. Because there are no internal working parts, there's no need to worry about this toy getting wet. You can wear them in the tub or shower without concern.

The beads are made entirely out of silicone which gets a safety rating of 10/10 on the Eden safety scale. The silicone is shiny in appearance, but not nearly as sticky as some. It does pick up a little bit of lint, but isn't too bad. The cord itself isn't stretchy at all, but the base and beads have a fair amount of give to them. There's no texture to any area of the toy, but there is a slight seam that can be felt on the base of the toy; it doesn't effect use since it can only be felt with your hand, but it is there.

The cord is very pliable and can be bent and moved with ease. Because of this, it is easily stored and doesn't take up much space. It's travel friendly for the same reason, but isn't at all discreet. It would be very difficult to pass this off as something other than anal beads.

Being silicone, these beads can be cleaned using an antibacterial soap and warm water, sex toy cleaner, 10% bleach solution, put into the top rack of your dishwasher, or can be boiled for up to three minutes. They are very easy to clean and care for.

Only water-based lubricants should be used with this toy since others could damage the surface of the toy. Make sure to store this by itself and not with other silicone or similar materials.

The toy comes in a tube similar to other Vixen Creations products, only much smaller. This is the only storage option as it doesn't come with a pouch or anything like that. The tubes are a pain in the butt to close, but it works well.

Though this is a very basic toy, it's very high quality. The price is pretty high for a product like this, but if you're looking for a set of beads that will last through your lifetime, this would be the set to get! I had never tried anal beads before, but was very curious about them. Since I already own several Vixen Creations products, I know that the quality is impressive; these didn't make me change my mind. I had heard so many times that pulling out beads during orgasm would intensify the experience. This intrigued me and I decided to give it a shot. I took my Salsa and the beads into the shower with me and gave it a go. The first time, I pulled the beads out quickly, the second time, I did it slowly. I was rather underwhelmed by the experience, I must say. The beads were comfortable in place, but didn't make my orgasm more intense.
