This Buddy was made with backdoor entrances in mind. The firm rounded tip works well for external stimulation to help one relax prior to insertion as well as spreading the lube around. The plug is firm but flexible and constructed of medical grade translucent silicone. The translucent property adds a unique look to the plug especially when viewed from the bottom. The first inch of the shaft is smooth, the next two inches of the shaft is the ribbed portion. The shaft tapers slightly wider along the ribbed portion of the plug.
