If it is your first time having something anally inserted, I would maybe suggest a smaller size, as it has a thicker diameter and length. That being said, it isn't monstrously huge; it is of an average size.

The flared base was made perfectly for my strap-on harness and fits securely in the ring. There was a bit of a struggle to get the straps around the ring and have enough space to pull the ring completely down, but once we passed that, it really did stay pretty securely attached to the harness.
