Great feel, poor material.

I really liked the shape and feel, however the issue with the material it's made of was a problem. It's inexpensive and gets the job done, but it's a hassle to have to use a condom every time. I would definitely buy this toy again if I could find it in silicone, otherwise, I would probably keep looking.

Use

The Doc Johnson Anal Jelly Stuffer is a probe designed for intermediate anal play, with a series of smooth, round bulges for stimulation. The two largest bulges are close to the end, placing them at the perfect depth for prostate stimulation, although it could be used vaginally as well. This toy is excellent to wear for long periods of time, and can be worn during intercourse or to prepare for anal penetration. Another idea is to press a vibrator against the center of the base to transmit vibrations deep inside. It's not a very discreet toy - anyone who finds it will know exactly what it's for, so you might want to find something a little more discreet toy for use on the road.

Material / Texture

This toy is made out of a PVC derivative called Jelly, and it lost a lot of points because of the it. PVC is a hard plastic that is softened using chemicals that are generically called plasticizers, but are usually some derivative of the pthalate family. Pthalates are toxic, and the first thing that I noticed was a rather strong chemical smell (and taste), typical of budget sex toys. If you can smell or taste the toy, it's probably leaching chemicals, which can be absorbed into the bloodstream. For that reason you should always use a condom with this toy, even if you are the only one using it.

I really liked the feel - it's fairly soft with a very bouncy feel, and a smooth surface that is easy to clean, but I could tell from the chemical smell and taste that this was not a very safe material. It leaves a smell on your skin after any contact.

Discolored...
The colors are NOT off in this photo. In storage, it reacted with almost anything that it came into contact with. Even after carefully packing this item separately from everything else, it still became grossly discolored over time, and the smell never went away. I'm not certain, but it seems as if it's gotten stronger over the years. The manufacturer says that this material is safe to use with either silicone or water-based lubricants, but I personally wouldn't use it without a condom anyway.

Design / Shape / Size

This toy has a maximum diameter of 1.5 inches and about 5 inches of usable length, with a bulging shape that reminds me of a certain tire spokesfigure. The tip is pretty small, about 7/8 of an inch in diameter, and should feel pretty comfortably for just about anyone. The first bulge is quite a bit larger, about 1/8 of an inch shy of the toy's maximum diameter. The second bulge is the largest, although it's pretty comfortable because of how soft the toy is. The last bulge is a little bit smaller than the first, and is a nice transition down to the shaft connecting to the flared base, which is just under an inch in diameter. The base is pretty large, with trimmed down sides that fit comfortably between your cheeks for extended periods of time. It's pretty thin, and because of how soft the toy is, I did have to take a little care to keep it from slipping inside.

Performance

This toy felt excellent. The largest part of the toy is pretty close to the tip, which felt great against my prostate without feeling too large. When used with a vibrator, the rubbery texture transmitted vibration well, and was a very pleasurable experience. Another way to use this toy was to thrust it in and out, giving a sensation similar to anal beads, although not as intense. It reaches its maximum diameter rather quickly, so it may take a little bit of care for beginners to insert. The bulge closest to the base is small, making the toy easy to remove. Those who are accustomed to larger toys may find that it comes out too easily, and have trouble keeping it in. The base has trimmed down sides that fit comfortably between your cheeks or legs, so this toy can be worn comfortably for long periods of time.

Care and Maintenance

Because of the chemical leaching problems detailed above, this toy should always be used with a condom, which makes cleaning very easy. Simply rinsing off any lubricant with soap and water before drying thoroughly should be sufficient. This toy reacted with a number of other materials that I had in my toy chest, and for that reason, it should be stored separately.
    • Easy to clean
