high quality toy for timid beginners

I don’t regret starting with the Little Flirt, but I eventually discarded it to make room for more substantially sized toys.

The Tantus Little Flirt was the first toy that I purchased for anal play, so it will always have a place in my heart, but not in my butt!

First the positives: like its relatives in the Tantus line of plugs, it is made of premium silicone. This material is non-porous, durable, and easy to sterilize with boiling water if the toy is used for multiple people. I owned the copper model, and the color was really beautiful – it was a warm copper color with faint swirls of shimmery metallic highlights. The toy is smooth to the touch, and works well with any kind of lube other than silicone-based lubes. The material is firm but has some spring to it, so it is not hard like plastic or glass. The toy was well-made, with no imperfections in manufacturing, and seemed extremely durable, so it will last a long time if you choose to keep it around.

Now the negatives: if you enjoy your time with the Little Flirt, it is unlikely that you will want to keep it around, since you’ll soon crave more diameter than the Little Flirt provides! The diameter is quite small (7/8” at the largest) and I didn’t know this when buying my first anal toy, but that makes it extremely difficult to keep it in place without holding on to it at all times. When you add a generous amount of lube to the situation, it is liable to go flying out into the room if you don’t keep a firm grasp on it!

Due to its size and shape, the Little Flirt could be a good choice for some gentle thrusting stimulation, but it definitely won’t stay in place on its own during normal activity, not to mention any sort of exertion or acrobatics. I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the materials and craftsmanship of the toy, but it has somewhat limited uses because you or your partner have to hold on to it to keep it in place. If you are an absolute beginner, I’d recommend that you try a finger first to find out what diameter toy you are looking for – if you think you might want more stimulation than a single finger, I’d pass this one up and go for something slightly larger (perhaps the slightly larger “Flirt”). But if you think you’ll be happy with something the size of a single finger for a while, this is a great option.

I guess little is definitely the operative word here. Do you think it might still be good as a warm up toy or do you think it is really too small for even that? Sounds like you've moved on to something bigger. What's your first choice now? Thanks for the review.

Yes, curious as to what you've moved onto. Thanks!

Jimbo Jones and PurpleReign - My favorite right now is another plug made by Tantus, the Ryder. It is not the largest I've tried, but there's just something about the design that makes it comfortable to use, either briefly or for longer sessions. I really like it!

As far as using it for warm-up, I think it really depends on the individual. If you like to take it very, very slow, it could be a fun part of working up to larger things! For me it was just too small to still be exciting at any point, but that's a personal choice. Smile
