G-spot vibrator discontinued

Impulse? No!

This toy is definitely made for someone, but not for me. The seam alone drives me nuts, but add in a faulty bullet, unpleasant anal experience and difficult clean-up and you'll find this toy collecting dust in my drawer. The curves are amazing, but they weren't enough to win me over.

Use

Curves aside, this toy is just not for me. I'm saddened to give my first critical review for a toy, and I think it's only partially due to personal taste. I have to say I had rather high expectations because this toy looks so seductive!
I love silicone, so I didn't hesitate to choose this toy. Upon arrival, I found it nicely packaged and was eager to get it out for a test run. My first inclination that this toy wouldn't please me is that it has an ever-so-slight "seam" running the middle. This mark is obviously from molding the silicone, but I have never had a silicone toy that had a seam on the functional areas. I am extremely sensitive and require perfectly smooth toys, so I was concerned that this seam might bother me. But, I tried to have faith despite my doubts.
This toy is intended to be a g-spot vibrator that can also be used anally. It definitely hit my g-spot, but that little seam was rather uncomfortable for me. Otherwise, the shape and design are pretty nice. I had some serious complications with the bullet, so I cannot vouch for the vibrations. But, if you are not overly sensitive or picky and enjoy a wonderfully shaped g-spot toy, the Impuls'o just might please you.

Material / Texture

I usually love most anything made out of silicone. It has the perfect blend of squish, but it's firm enough to provide pressure where needed. Best of all, it's totally non-porous and super easy to clean. However, this toy was manufactured with a particular kind of silicone I had not experienced before. I have several silicone toys, and I am quite used to their subtle "drag," yet this toy was much smoother. Overall, I thought this was a plus. Lube seemed to last longer with this slick silicone.
In practice, I have to say I was a little let down. This toy has a suggested anal option, so of course I had to try it out. Beyond mechanical problems I will detail later, this toy simply did not clean up as well as every other silicone toy I own. To be blunt, I could not get the smell out of the toy. I washed several times with hot, soapy water to no avail. I gave up and let the toy sit in my drawer, and it still had a faint smell even when dry! I tried sterilizing the toy by boiling for 10 minutes. This seemed to help, but I was kind of surprised and confused based on my experience with other silicone toys.

Design / Shape / Size

Perhaps I'm a bit too picky, but I could not get over the subtle scraping of that seam! It was a little frustrating, because the curves of this toy were wonderfully designed. 4 1/2" of insertable length and 1 1/4" diameter is plenty considering the stimulating curves. I felt surprising full due to the g-spot stimulation combined with a nice pressure near the vaginal opening. The 2 1/2" diameter loop made it easy to handle, although I thought this toy felt best just sitting with minimal movement.
The large handle makes this toy safe for anal play, which I usually consider a plus. I would not recommend this toy for any serious anal penetration. Perhaps a little teasing, but the design of this toy did not feel right in my bum. First of all, the hard angle for the g-spot tip was a little uncomfortable going in. I persevered, only to find the toy would not stay straight! Every time I let go of the handle, the g-spot tip would force itself to either side, not exactly a pleasant sensation. Looking back, I guess it's pretty predictable. My anus is not curved like my vagina, and this is a lesson I will long remember.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I've heard great things about the provided bullet for this toy, so I'm pretty convinced mine was a dud. The first time I turned on the bullet, it had very weak vibrations and seemingly only two settings (I know it's supposed to have 10). I made sure the batteries were situated correctly and I still could not get it to work right. I set it aside while I tried out the Impuls'o alone. 10-15 minutes later, I picked up the bullet and it felt kind of hot! I removed the batteries and let it cool off. After several failed attempts, I eventually just threw it away, I could never get it to function properly.
I think the best part of this toy is the g-spot stimulating design. It really did feel wonderful (aside from the seam). My disappointment is a blend of personal preference, specific design details and bad luck. If my bullet had worked correctly, my opinion of this toy would most likely be greatly improved. If you're into g-spot vibrators, and don't mind a seam, then the Impuls'o should please you. If you're like me - sensitive and picky - I would pass on this one.

Care and Maintenance

I can't say enough good things about silicone toys. Silicone is so widely used these days, it's worth the extra couple bucks for the sake of cleaning and health. Silicone is non-porous, so a good washing with hot, soapy water should keep your toy clean. If you feel you need to sterilize the toy, simply boil it for 10 minutes. Assuming you can use your bullet, special care must be taken to clean where the cap screws onto the base. Always remove the batteries before cleaning and allow to fully dry before storing.
This particular type of silicone seemed to hold onto smells unlike any other silicone toys I own. If this bothers you, sterilization seemed to help.
