My First and Favorite Bum Toy

I feel that this item is worth a try, especially since 6 months or so after buying, it is still in frequent use. Its design makes for intense sensations, but when considering buying it remember that it doesn't vibrate.

Use

This fun little bum toy is best used as just that: a bum toy.
When it first arrived, it was put to its true use my man friend and used on me vaginally, where is was interesting, but seemed to have a vendetta against my pubic bone so off to the bum it went.

For us, my man friend and I, the best use of the toy was as a warm up to anal. Fair warning: IT DOESN'T VIBRATE, it only rotates. I was mistaken when I bought it and found that to be a let down. However, it is good at what it does.
The knobs on the toy provide a lot of sensation; I find it to be too much, but when used with a harness as a strap-on toy my man friend has enjoyed it.

Material / Texture

The material that makes up my little purple friend is a Crystalessence jelly. It is rated at only a 2 for material safety because this sort of material is porous and therefore could be difficult to get clean. It can not be disinfected so please use a condom if sharing and between anal and vaginal use.

The material is firm but supple and doesn't seem to have a noticeable scent or taste. I enjoy that the toy, unlike a similar toy I've used, warms up rather quickly with use. As a super big plus, the material doesn't act as a giant lint magnet.
I must say that I find this toy to be rather pretty; it is a sort of translucent purple-violet. The base of the toy, above the suction cup, has a small hole where the cord that runs between the battery/controller pack and the toy itself enters. Sadly, because of this the toy can't be used for shower fun.

The toy has three "bumps" on it, but I'll talk about that more in a second.

Design / Shape / Size

I really liked the design of this toy. It has a bulbous head, then a smooth band. After that, going down the toy, it alternates bump, band, bump, band, making 3 bumps in all. It worked really well for our needs, especially because the bumps made it hard for the toy to slip in farther then I wanted. Its girth and these bumps means a naughty challenge of seeing how much you can take over time. However, the same girth that makes the toy fun makes it a bad choice for beginners.

This toy is alright when it comes to hide-ability. It is easy to tuck into a drawer, but if left out it is very obviously a sex toy even to those who aren't experienced with them.

Functions / Performance / Controls

I feel that this toy performed well at what it was intended to do, although we managed to break it when we took it out of its element. The tip of the toy rotates from its base, although I must once again point out that is doesn't vibrate. I feel the rotation is very good at 'spreading' you and it feels lovely but not mind blowing in its own right.

The controls are convenient and connected to the toy via a cord. The control pack also houses the batteries and the 6 option dial of intensity. I found it difficulty to tell the difference between the 3 highest settings. All of the speeds are very quiet and could be easily silenced by a blanket. The cord and the hole that connects the cord means that this toy isn't waterproof.

Lastly, one of the contact points came un-soldered, but I suspect that is because we recruited it for make-shift strap-on use because of its suction cup (see my review on Sportsheets Vibrating Velvet Harness) and the cord got pulled on a whole bunch. I wish it hadn't broken but that was outside the realm of normal use.
    • Discreet sound
    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This toy is fairly easy to care for. All it needs is a thorough cleaning with soap and hot water. As stated above, this material can not be disinfected so be sure to use a condom if sharing and between anal and vaginal use.

It doesn't seem to be a battery guzzler.

For storage we usually toss into the back of our designated naughty bedroom drawer and it seems very compatible with the water based lubes we have used (we don't use silicone based lubes).
    • Easy to clean

Packaging

The toy came in plastic clam shell packaging which we used to store the product for a while. It has been awhile since we threw out the papers that came inside but I believe it came with a half naked lady on it.
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable

Experience

Overall, my experience with this product was a good one for both my boyfriend and I. It is well made, of a material I like, and seemed to be a good warm up toy. I wish the toy hadn't broken, but given that a piece of cardboard was used to turn it into a makeshift strap-on toy, I can understand that it occurred as a result of over excitement and human error.

Follow-up commentary
The cord on ours wore out, but more from use than any thing else. The product lost it's appeal and has a diminishing frequency of use in favor of other toys.
