The erotic symphony is a vibrating anal bead, which in our opinion is a great idea; unfortunately, it come up short in a lot of areas. It's made of rubber giving it a very flimsy feel, it's this reason it's difficult to insert. To make matters worse, the design doesn't allow for gradual insertion (see design/shape/size) without the cord getting in the way. For all its faults, it does provide good sensations, albeit short-lived.
As mentioned before the Symphony is made of rubber, it's a porous materiel that is compounded by the fact that there are holes left in the toy from production which would definitely trap dirt, bacteria and whatever else that would come to mind with a toy made for anal purposes.(Ewww!)
The Symphony is a rubber product, 12" long and has a 1 3/8th diameter at the largest part. The beads taper from 1/2" to the largest bead over 10 beads. The design is unusual; as the chord comes in at the middle between the 5th and 6th beads. It's unusual because if you wanted to start with the smallest bead the chord gets in the way. It forces the user to pick a side, which is not ideal, and does not allow for a gradual insertion from smallest to largest.
The motor is housed in the largest bead. The rubber does a poor job of conducting the vibrations the complete length of the shaft. The flimsy nature of the rubber and the lack of a handle made this difficult to work with and insert; once inserted it had to used slowly.
The control pack provides a variable dial, and takes 2 AA batteries.
While it worked, the Symphony provided decent sensations, not impressive vibrations at the tapered end. It was difficult and clumsy to handle and limiting. Our experience was cut short as it ceased to work after the first use; which was fine because it had definite cleaning issues. The Symphony is a quiet toy even at it's highest setting.
The Symphony is a care nightmare, porous rubber is further complicated by the fact that there were holes created in manufacturing that are impossible to clean. This toy can be submerged (save the battery pack/control), but there is no way to truly sterilize this product; it should definitely not be shared.
After we finally got it inserted, before it broke, the symphony provided back door entertainment. We stuck to the small side, but in the end it did not deliver anyone to the promised land. Given the sticker price and poor quality, we would definitely recommend other products.
I agree, the flimsy nature of the toy presents some insertion challenges and there are molding divots that require extra cleaning or use of condom.
The vibration action of the large end is both quiet and variable from light to pretty strong.
There are probably better choices out there.
