Perfect beginners butt plug

This is a vibrating butt plug that is on the smaller end of the scale. This makes it particularly good for anal beginners. If you are curious about anal toys but do not yet own any this is the perfect place to start. This is made out of my favorite material, silicone. It doesn't get much better than this. Silicone is completely body-safe which is the most important, along with being naturally durable and long lasting. It's hypo-allergenic and is phthalates and latex free. Silicone is non porous so when you clean it you can be assured it's not harboring any gross bacteria. Silicone doesn't have the strong rubber or plastic smell of some other materials. The only downside to silicone is that it might not be as soft and flexible as some other less safe materials. In the case of anal toys the firmness of silicone helps greatly with insertion. When I see anal toys that are not silicone I take a moment to ponder why. It's rare that I can come up with a good reason.

Silicone toys can slightly grip on to dust or hairs that land on them or that are present where you store them. These come off fairly easy with a quick rinse under the faucet.

For a butt plug this is decidedly a beginner size. Veterans of anal play may find little use for this unless they are looking for a small toy to work them up to a more moderate sized toy. It starts at a very fine point then tapers up to the widest point which is 1.25 inch diameter. The total length with the safety handle is 3.37 inches and the insertable portion is around 3 inches. This size will result in a sigh of relief for the anally uninitiated.

The shape of the plug is excellent. The tapering makes it comfortable for anyone to ease up to full insertion. The bulb and the base below the bulb are a good design to help it stay for a little while. The safety handle does a great job of keeping it from slipping in all the way.

The remote is perfect. It features a simple design with two buttons. One controls the power and the other button controls the vibration pattern. The cord plugs into the remote and can be unplugged at your convenience. I find this to be a nice feature. If you decide you don't want the vibration you can unplug the remote.

I really liked the features of the entire shape and design. However the size was underwhelming personally for me. Everyone is going to have a different opinion on this which is why there are so many different sizes available. Sometimes it's nice to wear one of these during intercourse for a different sensation. I found that it didn't stay in very well. I was unable to determine if the small diameter, the difference in diameter between the bulb and the base, or the length of the base were the biggest factor. I would be excited to see this toy come in a larger model with a slightly larger bulb and tapered end, and a slightly longer base.

Because of the narrow size the vibrator motor must also be relatively small. I found the vibrator to be acceptable in the power department but it is distinctively buzzy. For anal toys I prefer a vibe with more oomph, rumbly instead of buzzy, if you will. I don't doubt that many people will take no issue with the vibration as everyone will have a different opinion. There are many patterns to choose from. Maybe it's just me but I thought some of the patterns had a unique techno/dubstep feel to them. The vibrator was somewhat quiet when inserted. It would be not noticeable to others just walking by a closed door.

Hooray, it's silicone. Super easy to clean and non-porous. Really a great material. Wash it off with hot soapy water between each use. It doesn't get any easier than that.

Make sure you only use water based lubes on silicone sex toys. I've found it easier to only buy water based lubes these days, which work just fine with all of our toys. Other lubes can either be less healthy or can destroy toys made of certain materials. If I only own water based lubes I don't have to worry about keeping track of which items can come into contact with which lube. Long ago I had a few toys damaged by using the wrong lube so I've learned my lesson.
