Petite with a Punch

The Ace is a solid toy, and I wish it was for me. Unfortunately, I wish it was both longer and wider to really rock my world. The ridges add great textural fun but make it a hassle to clean. I'll always hold metal toys in a special place in my heart, though, for both rigidity and temperature play, but they're heavy and not for users with strength or mobility issues.

Pros
Metal leads to great sensation play, versatile for both vaginal and anal play.
Cons
The bottom o-ring isn't positioned super well for self-play and the ridges make it a pain to clean.

Use

The Ace is an incredibly multifunctional toy -- it can be used for both vaginal and anal penetration, thanks to a cleverly placed hook on the--pardon the pun--rear end. If used for anal play, I'd recommend it only for very careful solo or partner play -- the hook isn't particularly flared, so if you're not confident of your ability to hold tight the entire time you're using it, you're better off staying with a different toy.

As the toy is on the shorter side, most folks won't have issues with it bumping up against the cervix--but caution should always be used!

Material / Texture

Metal is my bar none absolute favorite material in a toy -- it's nonporous, so it can be shared with partners, as well as boiled (or even dishwashed!) for sanitization purposes. Of course, a simple wash with soap and water always works in a pinch, but the versatility makes it fantastic!

Design / Shape / Size

Pretty obviously phallic, the Ace is ridged for his or her pleasure with a thick mushroom-like head! Unfortunately, the toy screams "I am a penis" so it's not at all discreet and is best stored in a drawer when snooping children, neighbors, or family is about.

Barring the bump near the bottom, the ridges are identical in size for spectacular sensation play. With only five inches of insertable length, it's on the smaller side for what I prefer, but I think that lends to a great anal toy or a fantastic warm-up toy.

Performance

The Ace was good for me for a warm-up, but not enough to get me where I needed to ultimately go. It's got a 3 3/4" circumference, which is a little thin for bringing me to the big climax of my show, and the length made it just shy of satisfying. I liked the o-ring because it gave me a bit of grip, but it was ultimately more of a tease than I wanted it to be. Folks with prostates might have a more enjoyable time, but anally it was a little bit more trouble than it was worth -- I didn't enjoy the ridges, and cleaning it was a pain until I just chucked it into some boiling water to be certain it was sanitized.

I do recommend, as I do with all metal toys, that new users experiment with temperature play -- keep a bowl of ice water nearby (not on the bed, or it'll slosh!) and dip it in every so often for an interesting change of events--the toy warms to body temperature quickly, but it's a definite change in sensation!

Care and Maintenance

Metal is easy to care for -- but it's heavier than most toys, so you don't want to just chuck it into the sink and wait to give it a good rinse. It should always be cleaned thoroughly after use, with special attention paid to all of the ridges. I recommend a soft brush to get into all of the nooks and crannies--even if you're boiling it, bacteria can still be in there without a scrub. Storage is easy, but be careful, though--it's metal, so you can scratch it if you're not careful with storage materials! I recommend a soft cloth or storage pouch to keep it shiny and beautiful for years to come.

One minor note/quibble: the first time I picked up the toy, I noticed that the handle itself felt loose, and I accidentally spun it of all the way off, which scared me half to death. If you do choose to boil it, I'd make very sure you kept the handle out during drying, because otherwise water may stay in the crevice and lead to unpleasant mildew.

Personal comments

One important point to note is that metal toys ARE heavy. This one is just over 6" long but weighs in at 7oz. If you're using this toy for a longer session, folks with mobility, strength, or wrist/hand issues may have difficulty using it -- a silicone toy would be a better choice for anyone with those issues.
