Thin Tool? My Ass!

Be forewarned: This plug is anything but "thin". It's meaty and not beginner friendly whatsoever. It's only saving grace is its unique material, which makes it a bit more bearable, but not by much.

Pros
Inexpensive, soft & fairly safe material, easy to clean.
Cons
Too thick for a "thin" tool, smell, base isn't rigid enough.

extremely useful review
I recently received an array of butt plugs, and Doc Johnson's Thin Tool was the largest amongst them. I'm surprised it's even classified as a butt plug, because it's more the size of a dildo to me! In no way, shape, or form will a beginner want to plunge this sucker into their puckerhole, unless of course he/she is VERY brave. As a last resort before banishing it to the toy box forever, it could be used vaginally if the thought of anal penetration is just too daunting for the ladies. On the other hand, experienced users should feel plenty satisfied with this toy.

MATERIAL & TEXTURE
Per the blister package's insert, the material itself is now "All New Silagel", which has a material safety rating of 5, so it's in the middle of the scale. It's anti-bacterial, non-toxic, latex-free, & cadmium free. So other than being semi-porous, it's relatively safe.

The package claims it is "odorless"; however, I'm going to have to STRONGLY disagree with that! In fact, after I first opened it, the odor permeated throughout my entire office. That's how potent it is! Come to think of it, just about every dildo, dong, and plug I have received from Doc Johnson usually has an extremely strong candy/chemical odor to it. In due time, with some washings and airing out, the smell will dissipate. The taste is moderate at first, but that too, will go away.

Texture-wise, it's very smooth with no rough edges, somewhat shiny/somewhat matte, and it's much softer than regular rubber, so it will compress some upon insertion. Because the material is semi-porous, sharing isn't recommended and it wouldn't hurt to use a condom over it, as one will certainly fit.

SIZE & DESIGN
"Thin" (what a joke!) measures in at 7-1/2 inches long, with 7" insertable length, a diameter of 1-1/2 inches, but a whopping circumference of 4-3/4 inches.

It has a thin, rectangular-shaped, flared base, so that it won't get lost up your anus, but since the toy is top heavy, it will tip over if you try to use it hands free. Yes, I know, the product picture shows it standing at attention, but mine doesn't! Maybe I just got a lazy one, who knows? Could it be used in a harness? Perhaps, though I don't recommend it, unless you don't mind having a very floppy, uncontrollable cock. The portion that is tapered just above the base and below the shaft is just too thin in my opinion, therefore it's better to grasp this toy mid-shaft when inserting it to stabilize it upon entry.

It's designed to be realistic looking, although the color is pitch black, so it's not exactly lifelike, but not unattractive either by any means. It's complete with veins which are soft and rounded, and a big, FAT mushroom head with a pronounced ridge. The biggest challenge to using this toy is getting that knob over the sphincter muscle.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
It is safe to use either a silicone or water-based lubricant with this toy. Lubed up, it's pretty slippery due to the nature of the Sil-A-Gel material. Not much lube is needed on the shaft itself, but you better butter up your buns well enough to get it inside you!

There are no nooks and crannies whatsoever, so clean-up was a cinch with just warm water and antibacterial soap or a toy cleaner.

Leaving it out isn't an option because it's won't go unnoticed, so I store mine in a plastic bag with a little cornstarch so it won't stick. A toy pouch, sock, or low-lint cloth will work equally as well, but do expect it do pick up some lint.

FINAL VERDICT
I had high hopes for this one. Alas! It was too big for me. I mean, if this is thin, I'd hate to see what what it's brother, the Thick Tool looks like!
Experience
Thin? Pfft! Whatever. Trying to get the head of this plug in my butt was like trying to force a square block through a round hole. OUCH! I'm not an anal virgin by any means, but this was downright uncomfortable! It reminded me of the time I had sex with one of my exes who was so thick, his cock tipped my tailbone and I couldn't sit right for a week. I ended up going to the Dr., too embarrassed to tell him the truth about how I hurt myself, so I made up some story about how I slipped and fell on my butt just so I could get some pain relief pills. I swore I'd never attempt anal with anything that thick again.

Anyhow, it took me several tries to get the head in because it kept slipping to one side or another. Once in, the material felt good and very giving, but the circumference of the head was just too much to endure. I think I'll just have to save this one for other fantasies that don't involve my ass.
Follow-up commentary
I was cleaning out my toys today and didn't notice this one lying around, hence, I probably disliked it so much that it didn't stick around. I really think the name of this one should be changed because it's very misleading. Perhaps it is thin for some people, but for a probe, nah-uh!

Ha, I guess that's not very thin, eh?
