Wide for a beginner, but a quality toy

This product is very high quality, especially for the price, but the design could have been a bit better. The wide base would make it great for a probe to 'ride,' but with the 'plug-shaped' shaft it's implied that you should be able to wear this toy...which you really can't. If you don't mind this flaw, it's a great toy.

Pros
Silicone, pretty strong, many patterns, easy to 'ride,' may be too small for some.
Cons
Plug shaped but can't be worn as a plug, may be too large for some.

Use

The main use for the Flexi Risque Silicone is for anal play. It is marketed as a butt plug, which is a toy meant to be inserted anally and left inside, but in reality it doesn't work very well as a plug. The base is large and heavy, making it difficult to be left inserted, and not held on to, for prolonged periods.

Because of the large base, this is entirely anal safe. The base prevents it from slipping inside of you and getting lost. The large, heavy base does make it hard to wear around, and the round shape would not be comfortable to walk with in your pants. It doesn't really fit well between the butt cheeks. The lack of a curve makes this bad for direct prostate stimulation.

While this is great for anal play, it's not as nice for vaginal insertion. The shape is awkward, and it doesn't have a G-spot curve. Though you can insert it, it would work better inserted anally.

You can also use this toy for external stimulation, but it's best for fairly small areas like the clitoris or nipples. The shape is all wrong for use as a full body massager.

If you're looking for a toy to introduce into a relationship, this would be an all right option. It's smaller than the average penis and is relatively flexible, but would be tough to use during sex. The wide base would for sure get in the way if you want to try 'double penetration' with this toy and your partner.

If you're seeking a first anal toy, this probably won't be your best option. While it is safe and powerful, the girth might be too much for an anal newbie, and the base makes it less versatile than other anal toys.

This toy would be fine for use in dorms or close quarters with other people. The quiet motor, ability to take it into the shower, and fairly small size make this great if you live at school or with roommates. It also has quite a bit of power for the low noise level, which is awesome.

Material / Texture

This toy is made entirely out of plastic and silicone, two materials that are great for all users. Silicone and plastic are a step up from jelly and rubber, and they won't degrade like the cheaper materials will. This is especially important for anal toys, as you're constantly exposing them to bacteria.

Plastic is rated an 8 out of 10 on the Eden Safety Scale. It's nonporous and body safe, meaning that it won't leak gross chemicals into your body, and that bacteria can't build up inside of the material itself, but can only be found on the outside of the material. Plastic can be disinfected with a 10% bleach solution and is very rigid.

Silicone is rated a 10 out of 10 on the Eden Safety scale and is also nonporous and body safe. While you can boil silicone to disinfect it, you can not boil this toy. If you plan on switching users or orifices, use the bleach method to kill germs. Silicone is very soft and flexible.

This toy has no seams or textures on the insertable portion. This makes it very easy to insert, but more advanced users, or people who enjoy textures, might find it to be a bit boring. While this toy has little drag, anal play always requires some additional lubrication.

The insertable portion of this toy is slightly flexible in the shaft, but most give comes from the area where it connects to the base. It almost reminds me of a video game joy stick in the way it moves. While it's not as unforgiving as glass, there are certainly softer anal toys out there.

Made of safe materials, having little texture, and having a slight bit of flex, this material would be good for beginners.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The Flexi Risque Silicone butt plug has a very similar shaft design to most plugs, but the base is what makes it different. As far as the general measurements go, this is more for 'intermediate' users.

The Flexi Risque is 5.25 inches long in total, with 3.5 of those being insertable. The widest point in the shaft is 5 inches around, but the majority of the toy is much thinner than that. The insertable part of the toy is much smaller than the average penis for the most part, but working up to the widest point would be good to prep yourself for being penetrated by an average sized penis.

The base is about 9.5 inches around. This is much wider than the shaft of the toy, and it is also quite thick. The size and shape of the base make it hard to wear around, sit your full weight on, and use during sex for double penetration. If you're looking for a toy that's going to work like an actual plug, this probably isn't it.

As far as shape goes, this toy has a very small, tapered tip. This is very nice for clitoral stimulation. The tip very slowly increases in girth until the widest point, and then rapidly thins out into the flexible 'neck' of the toy. This neck will allow your anus to relax and hold the wider part of the toy inside of you.

If someone saw this out, it's pretty obvious what it is, though it's not very realistic. The wide base makes this a bit impractical to travel with, but it could be tossed into a suitcase or large carry on.

If you're a beginner, this toy is probably going to be much too large for you. Similarly, if you're an anal size queen/king you probably will wish this had more girth. Because of this, it's probably best for someone who's had a few other toys before or is used to anal sex.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This toy has quite a few settings and is easy to control. It should have enough power and variety to keep most people happy with their order.

You control this toy by pressing the one button on the base. While it is on the base, it's very hard to accidentally press. Even if you're using it on a chair, the button is inset enough that it's out of the way. The functions are as follows:

1) High (3.5 vrooms, 2 bees)
2) Medium (2.5 vrooms, 1.5 bees)
3) Low (2 vrooms, 1 bee)
4) bb-BB-ZZZ-bb-BB-ZZZ
5) BzzzBzzzBzzz
6) BZZBZZBZZBZZZ
7) BZBZBZBZBZ
8) BzBzBzBz
9) BZZ BZZ BZZ BZZ
10) bzzbzzbzzzbzzz

While the vibrations are about halfway between buzzy and rumbly, they're felt strongly throughout the toy. This means the tip is great for prostate or clitoral stimulation, but when inserted it stimulates the entire area back there.

This toy is also 100% waterproof. There is an o-ring around the battery compartment, so you don't have to worry about cleaning it, and it's great to use in the bath or shower.

Size not considered, the functions would make this great for almost anyone. The toy does remember your setting when you turn it off, which can be a pro or a con depending on the situation.

    • Easy to use

Care and Maintenance

This toy is super easy to care for and store. It's a bit of a lint magnet, so it may be best to wash it both before and after each use. You can wash this toy with antibacterial toy cleaner, soap and water, or a toy wipe.

If you plan on switching users or orifices, you should disinfect this toy with a 10% bleach solution. This will kill any bacteria on the surface, preventing the spread of infection and germs. You can't boil this toy or put it into the dishwasher because of the motor and plastic parts.

You should avoid storing this toy in contact with other silicone toys because the two materials could react together. Similarly, this toy should not be used with silicone based lube.

Packaging

The packaging for the Flexi Risque Silicone is pretty basic, but it gets the job done. The design is a clamshell piece of plastic that snaps together. The front is clear, so you can easily see the toy, and it lists the name of the toy and the brand. There is also an image of the toy 'rocking' back and forth.

The back is also clear so you can see the other side of the toy. Also on the back is some basic information about the toy. There are several bullet points that outline the selling points of the toy. There are some instructions inside which tell you how to insert the batteries.

While the packaging is resealable, it's a bit bulky, and hard to open to use for storage. It's not super classy, but it wouldn't be terrible to wrap up and give as a gift.

Experience

While I wasn't stoked to get this toy for a descriptive review, it did seem like a solid toy considering the last toy from this line I reviewed. It was as nice of quality as the last toy I reviewed, but I wasn't thrilled with the shape of this toy. It's too girthy for an anal beginner, but I feel that many advanced users will want more than this toy has to offer.

On top of the size, the fact that this very plug-shaped toy can't be left in like a plug is a bit confusing. I understand not being able to use a probe-shaped toy as a plug, but this one really would work better if the base was smaller, even if you sacrificed some power.

In total, I would recommend this to intermediate users who like power, but are okay with having a plug-shaped toy they can't wear. I am rating this a 4 out of 5 stars because of that issue, but otherwise this is a quality toy.
