Leather paddle with fleece - flogging toy by PHS International - review by ShadowKitten

I fucking love this paddle. Seriously.

Anyways, I got this paddle because I was looking for something thick, sturdy, unique, & relatively affordable. This fit the bill in all ways and was dual purpose so I knew I had to have it.

This paddle is amazing, it combines both the softness of faux fur with the harshness of leather, it's very thick (1cm which is a fair bit, check a measuring tape!), well made, and just freaking awesome. It even comes with a proper leather hanging string unlike other paddles I've tried, the hanging hole is reinforced with a metal grommet; the entire paddle is lined with strong super tight stitching along both the fur side & the leather side.

The soft fur is great for more than just whacking with too, it can be used for a gentle massage outside of impact play or after a harsh paddling session to sooth the reddened skin; the fur has stayed in fairly well but after the first few sessions of self-paddling (still no luck for me with partners) a few bits did fall off, though haven't in the many sessions since then though I wouldn't trust myself in trying to pull the fur off purposely.

The leather side arrived with a few imperfections (as most of the other reviews on this product tell of, tiny dents which may have been mosquito or insect bites in the hide for all I know) but overall mostly smooth, it does tend to save scratches or fingertip dents so you don't want to do that either by accident or on purpose since that isn't the...well, purpose of this paddle. The leather is thick and strong and stings quite a bit, it's best to use a rhythm when using this toy as I found it can be more thuddy than stingy (which I prefer) if swung slower and less frequently although thats just my preference so may be someone else's dislike.

I love this paddle and hope to see it last many uses though there is a slight worry I've had, sometimes when really swinging it I swear it feels like the piece of (insert unknown material here) inside the paddle from the handle up into the center of the impact portion is cracking or breaking apart so I will definitely update you guys in a follow-up review when/if this paddle receives more thorough play or does break.

Lastly, I wouldn't recommend this as a paddle for beginners to pain (although the soft side hardly hurts and is more thud than sting, the other side is very much harsh) but anyone that knows they enjoy pain mixed with pleasure will likely enjoy this so long as it's in the right hands that know whats 'good' and what's 'bad' when it comes to impact.

A reminder when it comes to impact toys: Avoid parts of the body that can be injured when hit/paddled/whipped/etc as serious damage can occur if you aren't careful... these parts include but are not limited to the stomach, kidney region, feet, neck/spine area, tailbone area and hips (hips, not thighs which are fine).

This is my most used paddle, the hard leather side followed by the soft caress of the fleece side is just so amazing together every time, and the few people I've used it on have enjoyed it just as much, I highly recommend snagging one of these for your toy box!
