Leather paddle with fleece - bondage toy by PHS International - review by Carrie Ann

The leather paddle with fleece from PHS international is definitely a bit of naughty and a bit of nice.

The paddle itself is twelve inches long (including the handle) and 6 inches wide with a firm but flexible inner core. As the name of the product implies, one side is plain, smooth black leather, the other a soft, fleecy material. Each side is edged with a row of well done stitching. The handle has an open riveted circle with a wrist loop at the end. (Great for making sure the paddle doesn't fly out of a damp, sweaty hand and beam someone in the head.)

The leather seems to be a fairly standard, decent quality with a small bit of natural graining and no imperfections. The fleece is black, fuzzy and soft - more like faux fur than the fleece of, say, a pullover or blanket.

The business area of the paddle is a nice size - not too small but not so large it seems overwhelming. It definitely covers a nice surface area on the behind.

Because this is a firm but flexible paddle the impact with the leather side is middle of the road and vaguely slappy, easily reddening the skin. Impact with the fleece side is a little more thumpy, a lot less effective. It's far nicer to use the fleece side as a sensory tool rather than an impact tool, to spank with the leather side and tease the reddened flesh with the soft tickle of fleece.

The length of the paddle makes it very simple to control, even for those completely new to any sort of spanking or impact play. It's like an extension of the hand rather than a large, unwieldy piece of equipment. The handle is flexible so even with a hard swing you're going to have some give and forgiveness, unlike a wooden paddle with no flex.

Overall, the leather and fleece paddle is a decent addition to any toybox, giving both spanking/pain sensations as well as sensual, soft sensations without having to switch toys.

Clean up of the paddle can be done with a damp cloth but I'd discourage sharing or using in areas with a lot of bodily fluids since it can't be sterilized and the fleece is difficult to clean if it gets sticky or wet.

This paddle has held up well for us so far. No splitting of the leather, no separating of the layers. It wipes down easily, and the fleece hasn't pilled or gotten worn looking at all.

I definitely still like this one!
