First Impressions

Straight out of the shipping box, it comes in a box with images of the paddle on the front and back. There is minimal information on it, but it appears to come in different colors that you can select from. Black or red, we received the black one. There's a neat pattern impression on the paddle with lots of different triangles that link up with highs and lows. It's quite unique, and I can't say we've seen a paddle-like this in-person locally.

Material and Maintenance

The material section on the page states that it is made of Polyurethane / Vinyl.

If I had to guess how it was made up of these materials, I would say the bumpy geometric side is made of Vinyl; it's fairly ridged and will leave impressions on the skin if that is your desired effect. The soft leather-like side is more so the polyurethane; it's flatter and is easy to scratch even with barely running a nail across it. It has received a few dings on it from our drawer. It has a stiff, flat piece running down the middle of the paddle the width of the handle from tip to tip. I'm only guessing this is some sort of metal.

To clean, you simply use a damp cloth with mild soap and warm water on it. I do not suggest submerging the item due to how it's made; it will not benefit from this and could be ruined.

Size and Performance

To us, this is a very good-sized paddle, at just over 12 inches long less than half of its length is the handle with a 4.5-inch width. It's a very workable size for most areas and hand sizes. The wrist strap is a good enough size to get my or my wife's hand through it to maintain grip. It isn't too slick or uncomfortable to hold due to the texturing on one side, which was one of our concerns.

Overall performance-wise, in the time we've had it, it's held up pretty well to a good many uses. I worry eventually, we may get that metal feeling part through the softer leather-like side of the paddle, we will probably wait to do our follow-up until that happens. It lasted about a year now though, so who knows when that will happen. For us, the wife typically gets the paddles used on her, we have noticed this one does leave some good bruises when used hard, and she explains it as a typical paddle. Like an old-school smack with a wooden spoon/paddle with a little plush on it.

So far, we are very pleased with how it's holding up for the price, and it makes great props for photos for adult websites.
