Appetizer

I refer to this toy as an appetizer because it makes a great warm up flogger. This rubber "whip" was my first foray into anything remotely kinky. My husband and I had been using hands as toys and after a while we decided to take the next step. We bought this at our local sex shop but I have seen it in several different locations all across the States. It is definitely readily accessible. The size of this whip allows for easy travel and it can be discreet since it's so flexible.

While more seasoned, heavy players would probably pass this by whether it be online or in a standalone shop, I believe that most beginners would probably start with something like this. It is anything but intimidating and from our experience even the heaviest of hits really don't sting badly. This little number is great, however, for a warm up for more intermediate players. It really does not take that long to move from this toy on to something that will pack a little more punch. I have kept it around just because I am a sentimental pack rat.

I also find that this toy makes a great tickler all over the body. It also does a great job of being a light flogger in the nether regions for those who can’t take a large amount of pain.

This particular flogger is 22" long. It is held together by a lot of plastic which is what makes it more affordable. Two plastic balls are at either end of the handle and in between them is the plastic handle that covers the rubber tails. I find that after many uses or even just over time in general the clear plastic can become extremely dingy looking. I am unsure how to go about cleaning it but I am also fairly certain that the plastic just can't stand the test of time.

As I mentioned above the tails are rubber. They are quite stretchy but be careful if you get the notion to pull on them as they will break easily. They remind me of extremely thin rubber bands. My hands have been snapped by them several times because I can't resist the urge to pull them. The falls also tangle VERY easily! I've never seen something tangle like this. That is another reason why the tails are breaking off or snapping me on the wrists as I have had to untangle the tails several times since owning this toy.

I suppose once you have moved on to heavier play this toy will definitely look cheap in your eyes, but given its price I believe it’s a good options for beginners. However, you also may need to consider that you’ll want to move on to something heavier sooner when you buy something like this.

All in all I have enjoyed my experience with this toy. While my husband and I have since moved on to heavier play, we keep this around because it was our first toy of this kind. I find that nowadays it makes a great warm up toy if we have been out of practice for a while. In my opinion it is still rather short so he has to stand closer to me in order to hit just the right areas.

While it doesn’t do much anymore when used on my booty, I have discovered that it makes an amazing teaser in other areas. You can drag it over sensitive areas like the breasts or genitals or even take heavier hits to these areas with it. It has never hurt me when hit in these areas as this is one of the lightest floggers I have had the opportunity to use.

Sadly we have now had this flogger for roughly 3 years and it really hasn’t held up to time very well. After every use I’ve made sure to untangle the tails and hang it up, but the tails are becoming ineffective. The handle now looks very dingy and the rubber doesn’t have that nice new smell anymore.
