This cock & ball device from Spartacus was the first my partner and I tried. While it was not the best fit for his bits and we have since moved on to find others that we prefer, I still believe this is a great product for those that are suited for its size. Because of its adjustable straps and plush leather it is a great starting place for those that are new to cock & ball torture (or CBT). Its design is more practical perhaps for those with smaller testes and average length penises, and this cage isn't very useful for leading. However, if you fit the sizing parameters and do not plan on using this for much leash play then it serves as an excellent entry point into CBT.

The device is a combination of a T-style ball divider and an adjustable three gate (or three ring) design for the shaft restriction and "torture." It is actually depicted in its proper upright position in this picture - the others show it upside down. The testicles are inserted through the open top ring, and the divider strap is adjusted until you are securely in place. At the point where each end of the divider strap connects with the ring that encircles the base of the penis, there is a pair of snaps to allow you to customize the size. The "ring" is also adjustable with a choice of two snap positions as well.

At its widest the ring is about 2.75" across and at its most narrow it is roughly 2" in diameter. Most individuals will likely find this an adequate amount of room for the base of the testicles, but unfortunately the divider is much less accommodating. From base to the bottom of the ball cage there is about 2" of length at the loosest setting, and on the tightest there is only about a single inch. If the cage were a bit wider then perhaps there might be a little more room for the balls to spread out, kind of pop out through the sides of the divider maybe.

Unfortunately this cage is very small as other reviewers have mentioned and after wearing this for more than 20-30 minutes my partner complained of unpleasant, non-kinky pain and slight loss of circulation. It is very important that if you sense any loss of circulation during use that you remove the device immediately. Permanent nerve damage can result from prolonged loss of circulation, so if your testicles or penis begin to feel cool, tingly or numb during your play don't take any chances and stop use right away!

If your balls are up to the challenge of this somewhat claustrophobic cage, your cock will be treated to a much less trying arrangement. The length of the strap that the "gates" are riveted to is almost precisely 3" which means this is perhaps better suited for average or smaller than average sized cocks better than larger ones. More endowed folks will find they can fit just fine; the "gates" are buckle adjusted and can be tightened to 1" in diameter or loosened to 2" across. However, for bigger members there will be a much larger portion of their cock that is not being restricted which equals less yummy "torture." On the larger side? This lace-up sheath may be a more deliciously torturous way to collar that cock from base to tip!

So long as you'll fit into this cock & ball device it really is a pretty nice one. For seasoned CBT pros that know exactly what they want out of something like this and are willing to spend more money to get it, this may not be the best way to go - especially if you want to lead your partner. While there is a D-ring attachment at the end of the shaft strap, my partner and I found that leading with this cage ultimately left me with a leash attached to an empty cock cage! Without any resistance or pulling the cock cage will stay nicely in place, but any tugging -even very light tugging - will end with the cage slipping off the balls. Once the cage is gone? The penis slips out of the shaft loops next. Because even on its tightest setting the ring that encircles the base of the balls is rather loose, it is difficult to keep in place during leading.

For beginners that do not wish to try leash leading and are also do not want to shell out a ton of money on something they may not even enjoy? This Spartacus offering is a very reasonably priced product that is of reasonable quality. If you decide that you like CBT (as my partner and I did after experimenting with this piece) then you will eventually want to invest in something a tad nicer. After snapping and unsnapping the cage a few times one of the snaps fell off - I think they may be attached to the leather with glue of some sort. The leather also sheds a bit which is not a huge problem, but it's certainly not fun to pick lint off your dick after a long BDSM session, y'know? Overall this is a pretty decent product and definitely a bargain for its cost; you would be hard pressed to find something nicer at this price point!

To maintain your leather's condition store your cock & ball device out of direct sunlight and in a cool, dry area. If you find it necessary to remove a spot or bit of fluid from your device you should carefully spot clean with a damp washcloth and a bit of gentle soap if needed. Take care to remove all soap residue from the leather before allowing to dry completely (leave out for 24-48 hours to be on the safe side!) and putting into storage. Avoid wetting the metal hardware and dry immediately afterward if wet to avoid rusting.

The more time that passes the more seriously my partner and I take our CBT and the like. And, the more serious we get, the less use we have for flimsier products like this. I don't regret that we had this product around to test the waters of cock caging and CBT in the beginning; we didn't waste a lot of money and it didn't exactly break our hearts to end up tossing this eventually because it wasn't a huge investment. Overall it was useful to help us figure out where we were going with this aspect of our sex lives, but not for long term wear. We've grown up and moved onto better things. Sorry, Spartacus. We'll always remember you as our first!
