This collar is, as the kids say, boss. It’s sturdy, versatile and cute as a button. And vegan! I would recommend this collar to anyone who includes D/s elements in sex. The colors may not be for every one, to be sure. But I still assert this is a collar that has something to offer to the most novice couple and to the most hardcore perv (like me!).

I have very good experiences with the Fresh line as a whole. As a vegan kinkster with distinctly whimsical tastes, I was delighted to discover a vegan line of kinky items all made in cheerful blue and pink. I’ve found the line to be well-designed and made with quality materials. This collar is no exception.

It comes in a plastic package with a cardboard insert with a picture of a model wearing the collar and grinning like a cat that’s learned how to open cans. It’s easily opened. You could theoretically use the box for storage, but it’s kind of bulky and awkwardly shaped for that purpose.

The collar is made out of blue and pink polyethylene (a faux-leather material) with a soft, plushy foam lining. The buckle, D-ring and studs are all metal. It’s very well constructed. Polyethylene is notoriously hard to tear and the layers of polyethylene and lining were so sturdily stitched together that I couldn't pry them apart. The D-rings and buckle are also well secured. You can pull and tug on this thing to your heart’s content. It’s not going anywhere. The faux leather is smooth and the edges are very comfortable against the skin. The lining is uber-comfy -- soft and squishy -- which makes this an ideal collar for extended play. Yay!

The collar is just about 2” wide and fits neck circumferences from 13 to 17 inches. I loved how wide this collar is because it encourages the wearer to keep their head up. It also means you can tug like hell on a lead or rope attached to the D-ring without accidentally strangling your sub. If you have a short neck (or are just all over super-petite) this may not fit you well. It’s by no means a posture collar, though.

But let's get to the good part. My partner and I use this collar to start and end each scene. Once the collar is on, I'm very much her property. Once she takes it off, I can go back to annoying her at my leisure. The first time I wore this collar she had a rope slipped through the D-ring and fucked me while I wiggled and moaned beneath her. I was on my stomach and whenever she wanted to reassert how very much hers I was, she would tug on the rope and bring my head up to whisper in my ear. When you're done having fantastic sex, washing the collar is a cinch. Use a damp wash cloth and mild soap and wipe clean. Make sure to dry the toy thoroughly, because the metal will rust if stored wet. Remember to store it in a dry place, too. I store mine in my toy bag where it won't get lost. But you could put it almost anywhere that was dry; it doesn't attract lint and it's certainly not fragile.

I really can't overestimate the sheer awesome wrapped up in this collar. It's very well-made, endlessly adaptable, pretty, easy to clean, easy to store, and inexpensive. Oh, and it's really fucking hot, did I mention that?

I'm every bit as in love with this leash as when I first bought it. It's held up spectacularly well, and my partner and I use it every time I'm subbing. I love having a collar that suits my personality: cheerful, happy, and not terribly traditional. Finding one that's also vegan, durable, and comfortable? I'm a happy camper, alright.
