This red plastic gag by Pipedream is quite pretty to look at, with its bright red plastic "bit", shiny PVC straps, and shiny chrome hardware,however it's a very attractive piece of gear.

The gag is made of hard plastic and it quite large. The plastic is fairly thin and the holes are not all punched all the way through (some of them have scrape-y little bits hanging off them, not a nice feature on a toy) and it feels brittle. It's very big around, and like I said it's hard plastic with no give. It hurts to bite down too hard on it, and even if it did not hurt to bite down on it, the thin brittle plastic feels as if it might shatter dangerously if one really have it a good chomp. It also has a tendency to slip out of the mouth to the side and is so large it's hard to get into the mouth in the first place.

The PVC seems fairly sturdy, as does the metal hardware, but the gag itself is so uncomfortable, so useless for dampening sound, and so easy to pop out of the mouth that I really don't think that those factors matter. It's also designed in such a way, that although the plastic (which smells and tastes very chemical) is non-porous, it's not possible to keep truly clean for use on more than one partner because the PVC is threaded through the cylinder of the gag, and the gag tends to create a lot of drooling. Basically, this is not comfortable enough for light BDSM play, not stable enough for heavy BDSM play, and not safe enough for anything but a photoshoot.

The packaging is very simple, a cardboard box with a picture of a traditionally attractive blonde woman wearing the gag, and text stating the contains of the package.

It also comes with a black polyester blindfold which is nothing special, but is pretty much functional and comfortable as any standard "sleep mask" styled blind fold.

All in all, this product is just a Pipedream.

Although this gag is pretty, my partner and I have only used it for taking photos, the hardness of the gag makes me incredibly uncomfortable, and I can just feel it about to splinter if I put the slightest pressure on it, not a gag I like at all.
