Great toy for bondage play, at a great price! This pair of cuffs is well-made and attractive, and the fake fur lining is soft and comfortable. Although marketed as wrist cuffs, these also work great as ankle cuffs for people with smaller ankles (between 7 and 9 inches in circumference).

However, this is not the best toy for people interested in suspension play, or for bigger bondage enthusiasts, whose wrists or ankles might not fit as well as they'd like. See the section below on design and sizing for more information about fit.

If you're looking for a little bondage fun in or out of the bedroom, if you love the rush of being cuffed to the bedpost or having your arms cuffed behind your back, or if you want a physical reminder of what's to come right there on your wrists getting you revved up and ready hours before sexy-time, then you might love these cuffs as much as I do!

For the best variety of fun ways to play with this toy, a trip to the hardware store can provide the links and chains you'll need to connect these cuffs to each other, to your bed, or to whatever (consenting) person, place, or thing your kinky little heart desires!

Now, down to business. Sizing!

The buckles on these cuffs can be set to seven different sizes (although since the notches are merely punched holes--no eyelets--you could certainly make another hole in the leather to increase your options).

However, if you care about your cuffs looking nice, only the smallest three sizes really work. This is because while the belt that buckles the cuff together is fairly long, the cuff itself (the broader, fur-lined band) is much shorter, as you can see in the manufacturer's pictures. So if you try to use notches 4-7 to get a larger cuff, the two ends of the fur-lined band will not meet, and you'll have a gap where skin shows through. This also might be uncomfortable during play, as the narrow belt is not fur-lined, and may tug against the skin in that gap area.

That being said, here are the possible sizes:

Largest notch: about 13 inches around (with gap)
6th notch: about 12 inches around (with gap)
5th notch: about 11 inches around (with gap)
4th notch: about 10 inches around (with gap)
3rd notch: about 9 inches around
2nd notch: about 8 inches around
Smallest notch: about 7 inches around

My wrists are a comfortable 6 inchess (5.5 inches tight). The smallest notch works okay for my wrists, but I wish it was a little tighter. The cuff is able to slide several inches up my arm. It still looks nice though; it's not visible loose-looking.

Although these are marketed as wrist cuffs, and Eden Fantasies does make matching ankle cuffs as well, personally I end up wearing these wrist cuffs on my ankles more often than on my wrists. My ankles are a loose 8 inches around, and these cuffs fit well on the second-to-smallest notch.



Design/Craftsmanship/Material

These cuffs are well-made, sturdy, simple, and attractive. The fake fur lining is nice. When I first read the description, I'd imagined it as being longer fur, and I worried that it would be visible or get in the way. I was pleased upon receiving the cuffs to see that it is a very short fur, less than half a centimeter. Just enough to keep the cuffs from chafing during play, but not so much that it's visible from the outside, or has started looking ragged.

I love these cuffs. I've especially enjoyed them since we thought to try them on my ankles instead of my wrists. I wear them often at home, and sometimes under wide pants or long skirts when we go out, as well. I've happily slept in them several nights, too.

One thing I've noticed is how warm the cuffs are, because of the fur lining. Normally this is great, especially in winter. However, they can sometimes feel a little too toasty when I'm really worked up, and I've had a few orgasms where the furry heat around my ankles was a little distracting.

Another potential downside is the weight. They really aren't heavy at all under normal circumstances. But when I'm using my hand to masturbate myself or my partner, the extra weight starts to slow me down, and give me wrist aches much earlier than I would ever get otherwise.

One of my favorite things about these cuffs is the sensation I have for hours after I take them off... kind of like a phantom cuff phenomenon. It feels like they are still on. I've even reached down in embarrassment out in public, thinking I'd forgotten to take them off. When I've slept in them and only taken them off when I left the house in the morning, that phantom sensation kept me turned on all day. Fun!

My husband has enjoyed adding chains to them, or attaching them together using little metal oval screw links (less than two bucks at a hardware store). He often grabs onto the d-rings or to the chain to move my arms or legs where he wants them to go, which is a nice extra source of control for him. We've both been very pleased with this toy, and plan to buy another pair soon!

I would NOT recommend using these cuffs for suspension play. They aren't designed for it, there'd be too much pressure on one part of the wrists, and it could end in a hospital visit. Not worth the risk. Even if you didn't injure yourself or your partner, you'd probably break the cuffs. They're fairly sturdy, but they only have two rivets holding them together--clearly not designed to hold weight.
