This was actually the first ball gag I ever purchased. We now have quite a few in our toybox - different sizes and colors, different sorts of straps, different looks and fits - but this one was the perfect first gag.

Not only is it affordable and small enough for comfort but it's very simple to use and remove quickly if need be.

The round rubber ball is firm and comfortable in the mouth, blocking intelligible speech but not hindering breathing. I've bitten into mine and not done any real damage. A few teeth marks but nothing that spoiled the usability of the gag.

The rubber has a typical rubber smell but nothing overwhelming like some toys that can smell like anything from tires to chemicals and it has a typical rubber taste that fades with time.

The straps are one of the best things about this ball gag. They're simple and soft and go around the head with a minimum of fuss. Closing and tightening the straps is done with a slider/button type device like you often see on drawstring bags and backpacks. You really can't get any simpler or faster than this type of closure. You push the button to slide it tighter or looser and release when it's where you want it. No buckles, no noisy Velcro, nothing to slow you down if the person wearing it has trouble breathing or swallowing.

I've actually slept in this gag with no worries about getting it off - FAST - in case of emergency.

Definitely a good, affordable addition to anyone's toybox, especially if you want to try a gag for the first time and don't want to invest a lot into it.

The only real issue I had was the rubber ball eventually started to separate from the small black disk on the side that connects it to the string.

Also, rubber is porous so this definitely shouldn't be shared. Clean up can be done easily with soap and water but bacteria can't be completely eliminated. Plus, rubber gags tend to dry and crack after a few years. Another reason the price on this is a benefit since it's easily replaceable.
Follow-up commentary
I got a comment about how cheap this gag looks and wanted to address that in the follow up.

First of all, it is cheap. It's listing at $11.99 right now. That's dirt cheap for an effective, easy to use and remove, beginner ball gag.

It also looks much better in person, in use, than it does in the picture. One of my favorite photographs of myself features me in this gag.

Don't judge a book by it's cover nor a toy by it's cost.

This one is decent quality for the price and an excellent choice for the beginner or the curious.
