This bone gag is good for beginners. As with anything in BDSM, you just have to know your limits and what you're comfortable with. Because it is a buckle closure, it could be a little hard to take off by yourself.

The design of this gag is good! The whole gag, the bit that goes in your mouth and also the straps, is made of silicone. The silicone can pull on hair, so be wary of that. It's very sturdy and the metal pieces feel nice.
