PHS International offers a wide assortment of mid range BDSM gear, and this is right in that range. It's not super scary or intense, but it is still sturdy and will hold up to rougher play. I would not call this a beginner gag, but it is a nice one for those of us that don't often need a gag but want to have one in the kit.

The Sex Kitten will fit a range of heads. From about 18" to 24" to be exact. The strap is about an inch wide which is pretty standard. It's comfortable enough without being too comfortable which is perfect for our style of play. Beginners may find this a tad too uncomfortable.

The materials are good enough, but they didn't blow me away. The hardware is sturdy, but not hypoallergenic, and it isn't as heavy as other higher quality metal pieces. The leather is a tad rough, but conditioner and time helped that a lot. The silicone is really nice and sturdy. I can't leave teeth marks in it which is important because I can be quite rough on toys. The gag is about 5.5" which really isn't bad, but is not quite a size I would suggest for a first gag. Intermediate users should be fine.

The big problem with this is that the gag can't be removed to be sanitized by boiling or a run through the dishwasher.

Overall, this is an alright gag. The silicone is nice, but could be nicer if the gag could be removed. The leather is on the cheaper end, but not awful. This is a great intermediate gag all in all. Something a bit more sturdy, but it isn't insanely complicated or terrifying to look at.

Plus, everything is better when it is pink.

This is made from different materials that require different cleaning methods.

Leather:
Keep it dry and cool. Leather can crack in heat and direct sunlight. If you need to clean it, spot clean it and let it dry before putting it away.

Metal and Silicone:
The silicone ball cannot be removed, so you can clean it carefully with toy cleaner or soap and water or a toy wipe. You can also wipe it down with 10% bleach solution. Just don't get the leather wet.

Silicone shouldn't touch other silicones, so don't store this next to other silicone toys. Also, it should not get silicone lube on it. I can't imagine too many scenarios of that happening, but you shouldn't do it anyway.
