Sinvention ball gag - headgear by Sinvention - review by Beautiful Dreamer

The packaging on this ball gag was definitely underwhelming compared to the actual product. The gag arrived in a simple plastic bag, that was inside a very well padded and completely discreet cardboard box.

I’ve been longing after a ball gag that met many requirements. It had to be made of a material that didn’t smell, able to easily be cleaned, and not so large that it’d cause my jaw discomfort. As someone that is new to gags, I was getting worried that I wouldn’t find a good one. I’m quite happy to say that the Silicone Ball Gag has well exceeded my very high expectations.

First off, the black leather is very sturdy everywhere except the piece that goes through the ball and therefore sits by your mouth. This leather is soft, supple, and very flexible. The leather does not shed at all. The gag is a 1-3/4” silicone ball. Mine is a very vivid shade of purple that nicely matches the rest of my bondage gear. The gag does a good job of preventing me from forming discernible words, but at the same time isn’t so large that my jaw is aching within minutes of putting it on. Because it's not overly huge, I can swallow my secretions- no drooling here! I can also easily bite down on this and it isn’t so hard that I need to worry about damaging my permanent retainers. It is very, very comfortable to wear.

And while this gag does have a lock compatible buckle, the front piece actually snaps off. This serves two amazing purposes. 1. You can easily remove the gag to sterilize it, just remember the leather cannot be entirely sanitized so use caution when sharing. And 2. If an emergency would arise my partner or I could pull on the snaps to release the gag from my face. I wouldn’t recommend using this method to remove it often, as it does put a considerable amount of pressure on the back of your head- but in an emergency this feature is priceless in my opinion.

The silicone gag is easy to clean. First take the pieces apart. The leather can be cleaned with leather cleaner and/or wiped down with a 70% alcohol to provide a more thorough cleaning. A leather conditioner should be used to maintain the material's integrity. The silicone ball can be cleaned with soap/toy cleaner and water or sanitized by boiling it (3 minutes), running it in the dishwasher (top shelf, no soap), or by wiping it down with a 10% bleach solution (be sure to rinse after!)

The Silicone Gag Ball is as close to perfect as you can get in a ball gag- comfortable, easy to clean and care for, and quality materials.
